"Never Even" was maybe the best track I heard last year.
I've seen a couple live shows and installations, but it's
hard to keep up with everything he does, and the dvd has a
lot of stuff I hadn't seen yet. The lighting and low-res
camera work add to the vibe. There's a bit in "Play Meccano
Play" about 9 1/2 minutes in that is really outstanding. But
it's all good, and refreshing to see Rephlex do a video
release. Well fucking done, and thank you!

pennyworth is a cock and his music is derivative shit but
pierre bastien is pretty awesome, at least he is trying to
do something new, unlike penyworth

do you guys ever find his stuff in actual record stores
while browsing? I've never seen it, and i'm curious if
anyone would be putting it in the jazz, experimental or
electronica (because of rephlex) sections... hmm

file that bad boy right in between "music for bald germans
in anoraks" and "music that makes you feel intellectually
distinguished"

French Revolution - ghastly thing it was

1870
1914
1939

France getting its arse kicked
Now France is full of Muslims
Pierre Bastien one of the only Frenchies left
Shame in a way
The Gauls have a talent for beauty and culture
