very nicely programmed, but it feels too static. many of the sonic textures are very corny vst-y (maybe this is deliberate?) i feel like you need to get a controller with some sliders, and do some live twiddling of the envelopes, draw it out, give it a little more sass. because as it is, it sounds like a laptop soundcard playing a midi file. but it is a nice midi file.... |

many thanks for ur comments/listening guys i have a midi contorller keyboard but hardly use it cuz theres to much delay between when u do something and when it happens (cuz there is to many layers between it and the sound and my computer is so slow) ps i only used 1 synth on the whole album (synth1) |

there's no reason you have to use a controller to do what i said, it's just what i find easiest... you need to work the patch along with the notes and the drum line, not just leave it static, then layer and/or switch to another patch. most of your synth noises are excellent, it's really just stuff like that short twangy ones that start to get to me, and i wish they would evolve with the track rather than just sit there |
