yeah, zelda IS pretty "tight, dog". i've got an assload of
videogame remixes, i have a jungle one of zelda that samples
the actual game, not the amino acid one. this is a great
site for that kind of shite
remix.overclocked.org

i've still got my NES, SNES, and Genesis hooked up to my
t.v. i'm a retro gamer nerd. i was just playing sonic spin
ball, actually. my genesis is so old, if you touch it, it
tends to turn off.

silent hill one and two have some damn good music.

for a really electronic soundtrack,
try out of this world. and flashback.
they have some crazy melodies.

have you all have all gone mad? not a single person has
mentioned the speedcore-techno of Blazing Lazers
!!(turbografx 16)

youd swear it was aphex or sq.pusher

i'd swear i've never had a turbografx. i played one once
though, and i remember it being hardcore intense. but thats
cause all we'd played before it was nintendo. i remember
bonk, and parasols (story of bubble bobble) p.s. bubble
bobble is the shit.

and the cool thing about N20 (ps) was that you could make
your own sound tracks. the disc only loaded once, so you
could put your own cds in. i made a nice mix for it, i'll
have to find that,

One of the most underrated soundtracks is Dracula X:Rondo of
Blood for the PC Engine, also known as the TurboGrafx 16
CD... it's spectacular. It's never been released in North
America, which PISSES ME THE FUCK OFF, I WANT TO PLAY THAT
FUCKING GAME!!!!

Oh well, I'll have to be content listening to the great
soundtrack, for now.

the best video game soundtrack ever!!!!!!

i liked very much the wipeout64 and tetrisphere soundtracks,
too... (wipeout fusion disappointed me a bit)

i remember also having loved the music in earthworm jim's
"helicopter" (buttville I) level... and in scrap brain in
sonic I... it's been years since i played them, but i still
have the earthworm jim one in my head after all these
years... ;)

i always liked the music from ewj2, lorenzens soil. and
intestinal distress from the first one. and i "remixed" the
special stage music from sonic one, i've still got that one
some where...

glorious:
-super metroid (now that's really amazing music. The whole
game had a lot of attention on environment--absolutely
engrossing. lots of different styles, really wedded to the
setting)

kinda nice, wouldn't really be in another context though:
-sonic 2
-sonic CD (try past of first level, present of metallic
madness)

sucks, but I have a visceral reaction to it:
-final fantasy tactics (I hate ff games, don't count this as
one)
-thunderforce 5 (gets drilled into your brain though..
fucking free range)
-altered beast (post transformation music must be the lamest
shit ever)
