"Roommate" driving me insane.

Ah, roommates...

...the number one reason to work hard at school and get your
own place.

Waiting till someone owes you $3000 is mental though. My
claw hammer comes out $2500 sooner than that.

dear dagibit

he aint gonna pay you sh*te, he may give you 100 dollar, but
that month he wont pay rent, he knows he can get away with
it. and drinks and spends your money at the arcades.

you have to get him in a room, with the rest of your mates
and tell him to pay up , or tell him you'll take him to
court.

start to add interest. so he has to get a loan to pay you
ASAP.

get a credit card application form, fill it out with him,
have him sign and post it yourself.

when the card arrives transfer to your account.

if you cant do that? call the equaliser.

do not tell him your new address , do not have that address
writen down Anywhere. tell your mates the same.

make sure you get the post in the morning.

One thing I really hate, is constant lying and stealing like
your roomy. What I would've done if someone was very
obviously stealing my vodka and denying it-- I would've
poured into the vodka some liquid LSD (hard to find in US,
but easier to get in UK). I'm talking like, one shot would
be 50 doses of LSD. Poetic psychedelic justice. Since he is
"not drinking it", no harm done.

second sentence in the whole thread: "He is subletting from
somebody on the lease so he is not on the contract."

yeah, you don't have shit on him, he owes you nothing.
that's why you don't sublet, and don't let your roommates do
it without a sublet lease.

Tie him up when he is sleeping then force feed him slugs.
Dragon punch his balls and have dogs rape him. Then dump him
in a sewer covered in leaches after putting wasps up his
bum.

Or just be lame and moan about it on a forum.

Super toxic smoke bo/\/\b.

ping-pong/table tennis ball.

aluminium foil.

wrap the ping-pong ball with the foil.

get a pin and poke many holes in it.

light the ball through one of the small pin pricks.

chuck it and get as far away from the smoke as you can.

yell fire in the hole!

come back later.

Tell him all to buy a nice glass of iced tea. Then drink
the tea down in the hatch. Later tell them all to drink of
iced tea. Then drink it down the hatch.

He is just going to leave when you all move out and never
pay you the money.

Man this could have been avoided had you taken action
earlier. Just lock the booze if you have to. As for the
rent, good luck! Again, don't wait a million years to do
something.

Reverse psychology: give him tons of money.

buy a fish and toss it behind the couch. leave it there til
the maggots and stink overwhelm then pick up the fish and
squeeze the nasty juices into a booze bottle for roommate to
drink.

knowing you won't do this makes it ok.

I bet if you get him pretty drunk you could convince him to
do this. First get him quite drunk, then put wire around his
neck and pull hard until he agrees to give you the money

be after he drinks your fucking vodka of course.

If you want to be an asshole back to him:

Assuming you don't have any documents with his name on it,
and he hasn't provided any kind of rent payment from the
start, I think you would be justified in changing the locks
on him and tell him to either come back with a legal
document stating that you need to let him in, or come back
with rent owed. If you don't touch his stuff he can't claim
theft, he left it there on his own recognizance and you
haven't done anything to move it or cause it to be moved. If
he tries to break in charge him with breaking and entering
and try to get temporary conditions set up against his being
near your property.

"The line was drawn with me when I found
my 90 proof vodka frozen solid to the bottom."

Vodka doesn't freeze right? Or have I been blatantly
misinformed?

Either way, he sounds like a real douche bag.

That was so obvious to me reading the story, that I wondered
whether there was some private joke amongst forum members in
not recognising this fact, or if the average XLT denizen is
even more retarded than I had previously assumed.

i guess i was never broke or desperate enough to come up
with that on my own.... or maybe it's more a teenage years
discovery (i didn't get drunk until college, and there i had
no reason to be sneaky about it).

Is Dagibit still around?
I would have just filled an old bottle of jaeger with
bleach.

That's a good approach. To mimic Jaeger, you probably want
to chuck a bit of iodine in with the bleach too. The thief
would probably not realise they had been duped until they
were deep in the throes of chlorine burns.
