...I do so almost knowing there will be nothing of
interest.

one day this place will be shut down by the global feds. i
think we would miss it , even though it is not interesting.

I know exactly what you mean. If every one stopped going on
Facebook, started buying CDs again and Richard would release
an album every now and again, xlt would be a far better
place.

OK. The Field is releasing a new album as 'Loops of Your
Heart'. Not heard it yet but he contributed a track to Pop
Ambient 2012 that was gorgeous so look out for that.

I've been hammering dub techno recently and these are some
nice fairly obscure discoveries:

Gradient
Submersion
Dublicator
Lars Leonhard

Other good stuff:

Floating Points - Shadows
Moomin - The Story About You
Pinch & Shackleton - Pinch & Shackleton
Ambient News - Zweite Sendung

something of interest, i believe.

Dadub
Diamond Catalog
Madteo
Raime
Rivet
Roly Porter
Rrose
Sigha
The Haxan Cloak
Vatican Shadow

This place went beyond 'messageboard' years ago. I Think of
it as an internet heritage site of special cultural
significance, an ode to the collective identity of those who
grew up with web 1.0. If xltronic was killed off I'd be
mortified and if xltronic is updated I'll be equally
mortified.

This place is dieing a slow dead. It really needs some
makeover. The 90's design is just not going to attract new
people

attract new people, even the snazzy ones.

Yes. Xltronic is a museum where you can troll the paintings.

I don't come here for music anymore. I treat is as a general
discussion board for people who in ways are alike and share
traits. It had a great period from '03 to '05 or so. It's
nice to see old faces though. As for most newbies, half of
them are old timers.

Then I think there must be so many of us out there in the
same situation because I still see the same names on here
after 9 years of being a member, and most of those were here
long before me.

ahhh horsefactory, good times.

I like this place, because I believe it gives me flowing
golden locks. Ever since I've visited xlt- from day 1- my
hair has been flowing longer and more blonde in the wind.
No other electronic music board could do this for my scalp.

So thanks xlt. You give me long and flowing blonde hair,
like Fabio dipped in gold.

But one time I doubted the power of this site and skipped
visiting for about a month. My eyeballs turned purple and
my penis turned gargantuan. That sounds good and all, but
gargantuan penis and purple eyes is no joke when
experienced...

So please, for those of you who've gained the awesome hair
from this site, be satisfied with the hair, and remember to
visit 75 times daily- minimum- to keep up the volume (of
hair and also sub bass).

I don't visit XLT. XLT visits me. In my dreams. During the
day in my thoughts. During work. It's driving me mad!

yes, I can relate. What are we doing?

I think I long for something. I want the old times back.

Why don't we put some money together and bring this place
back to life?

Btw, I can't afford it. Anyone else? Oh yes, that's right.
We're all poor.

Well, what I'd like to know is what "bring back to life"
entails. Are we going to pay females to make some posts
around here? I've got money in abundance, but I'd like some
sort of positive business case before my capitalist arse
cares to come into action.
