ive been this year that is ending consuming lots of series,
totally amazed of the high quality of most of them. breaking
bad, mad men, dexter, rome and a long etc...
ive seen most of the great american and british series, but
i wonder if theres other countries producing that great
shows (definitely not in spain, its all crappy crap here).

so this thread is for recommandations, better if not english
and not the most famous ones, but any comment is welcome!

i specially liked bbc's the hour recently

oh, and about zombies, a lot much better dead set than that
stupid thing called the walking dead.
imo, british > american, the stupid american morality ruins
most of the scripts. god heroes leadership mariage family
community faith and the same irrational arguments over and
over

Millenium by Chris Carter.

You've probably seen a couple of eps and have a vague memory
of the series, but really, you should give it a go. :)

The Wire. It's bleak and depressing though.

Parker Lewis Can't Lose

The themes, the humor, the groove chill musics. Oh, man-
this show was/is so good.

yeah, the wire was fucking great indeed. agent mcnulty also
co-starring the hour, it was fun to find him in such
different character

"H" and "Platane" (watch them in that order)
Very funny french series, I guess they exist subtitled
somewhere...

understand a word), :D
since she got a boyfriend im not practising french anymore
(not implying a sexual meaning, or at least not in the
direct sense of the words)...

that would be true blood, which i haven't seen yet

i recommend buffy anyway though (from season 4 on up (season
7 sucks kind of though))

all tv series are inferior to spaced.

also, true blood sucks. it's stupid whiny vampire soap shit,
my roommates watch it all the time. it's way more anyone's
time to watch buffy if you're feeling bitey.

the walking dead season 1 is fucking amazing, but it started
getting a little slow into season 2 and i haven't gotten
back to it yet.

you can avoid terra nova, it's a snoozefest. as a matter of
fact, it may have been a great year for existing series, but
not a single new show came on the air that in the least bit
got me interested.

i've heard good things about misfits - anyone got any
opinions on that?

doc martin :P cheesy but light and funny

oh, and the x-files, but avoid any episodes starring
Annabeth Gish, she's unbearable

i fucking loved first spaced episodes, for what i remember,
but then i lost interest on it because my housemate not
liking it and humour being a bit rude, but i dont remember
exactly... i should definetly retake it!

i also saw misfits first chapters and i liked the characters
and style, but i think i thought it was too childish (or
teenegerish), but some of my friends love it.

i agree with you with the lack of new good shows last year,
i would recommend you the already said 'the hour', fucking
solid script and original characters. i would say it is a
mix between mad men and sherlock holmes (havent seen that
serie or film, sherlock as big investigation thing)

spaced is wholly worth re-watching! i cry at the last
episode. every time. also the whole series is one hulu for
free! altho i dunno if that's us-only.

the hours sounds neat, but i wasn't able to get over the
hump with mad men, so we'll see how we do with this one.

also, this gag alone has almost convinced me to
give community a solid try.

"american horror story" is amazing...
also just started watching "wilfred" seems strange and
fun...

well, by the moment, the hour is just 6 autoconclusive
episodes (i think therell be a 2nd season), so its worth and
easy check it!

i will definetly give spaced a second chance no doubt, now
that i have no critizing viewer on my side...

wilfred is pretty great too indeed, mr. troll, similar
stupid surrealist ironic spaced style (they went too
cacafuck style, tho, thru the chapters, for me, that ive
seen until 7. it was great better when focused a lot more in
human/dog behaviour)

comedy in general... just love "Psykoville" and "Black
Books" just remembered those two...
