just to talk about something,
do you find any musical similarity between the brothers,
beyond the obvious style / machines used ???

i thought about it yesterday, listening united acid
emirates,
that they share some epical touch for melodies, and that
some of the 'ambient' pieces of that album just got the same
feel as the classic guitar andy tunes on ultravisitor/hello
everything.

the jenkinsons.

Yes, it's pretty obvious since Ceephax's whole approach is
influenced by his brother's early works. Also the older
computers sound is a major influence to both.

you're spot on but there's not more to talk about other than
both make great tunes/music :-)

For me the problem with Ceephax is his synth work, which is
pants for the most part, he doesn't seem to deviate much
from the same sounds/style even when he uses different
synths/drum-machines. Squarepusher on the other hand he can
make the most amazing things with simplest gear/samples
imaginable.

I STILL have to get it in the mail, but I'm thinking it'll
take as long as my Hardcore Esplanade record to arrive,
which was a year after I ordered it.

they both have a knack for excellent melody and they're
both really great musicians. seen ceephax live a few times,
always brilliant and entertaining. their music goes in
different directions usually, but they are close family.. of
course they're going to share some traits.

They both used and abused 101, 303 and 707's.

It doesn't, it's mostly live versions of studio tracks. I
was enjoying that VS set, why was it so short compared to
the others?

Would love to hear a collab between them.will never happen
of course.the styles might not marry together, but on the
other hand might be the best thing ever heard.
