we're talking about how pop music sucks and more people need
to get away from people's expectations and make music "art"
again...cause that's what it is.

music today is only art if you put thought in it yourself...
artists and bands like the young bros. (AC/DC), RDJ, and...
hate to say it... creed... and many others i havent named...
actually make it big for a reason... they deserve all the
credit they get... bands like BSB, N*suck, and britney get
their fame and fortune from nothing... it is all produced
for them... all they have to do is the same rats do... go
thru a maze for their piece of cheese (or peanut butter for
the politically correct)

i sometimes dislike pop music because most of the tracks
suck, and are poorly constructed, and when i hear something
that's a great song, and has been nutured over for a long
time, and put together decently not get the credit it
deserves because of demographics, or sales, or image, it
really pisses me off...

It's music that is prepackaged and marketed just like a
candy bar...and the teeny bopper mallrats and the beer
guzzling frat boys are eating it up.

here's a theroy...

to root of all music are drugs. (my friends and i were
playing with this one a few times)

a lot of electronic is rooted from extasy, speed, weed,
shrooms/acid (and other halucenogens)
rap from weed, crack,
rock from weed, crack heroin, speed,

get the picture?

but where bublegum pop comes in... i turely don't know
because i don't listen to it, and don't know many ppl that
listen to it and uses drugs...

My biggest gripe with pop music is the insincere use of love
in lyrics. You all heard the r'n'b song about "Take me to
the alter. I just wanna get married" sang all soulful. Who
the fuck are they talking to? It's just an obvious ploy to
appeal to the girls who are looking for commitment in a guy.
Why do they fall for it when they hear these songs? These
guys don't love you!

The boy bands do it in most of their songs of course.

In Destinys child, the third member does all the writing and
production, and the other two sing.

She is a fucking good producer too.

you talk about ´drugs is good for making music? well i dont
really know. maybe thats true. i havent tryed. but i know
that when im drunk sometimes i can feel that the music
speeks to me more. i can do a melodie when im drunk adn
háte it when im sober. some old records that im tired of
can be better when im drunk. so... idont really know

There are no rules, like drugs make for better music, or
drugs make for worse music. It's just not that simple.
Case by case by case...
