I have been, and still are a fan of dance music for the
last 12, but i can't dance!
I think it is strange that i maybe know more about dance
music than your avarage club goer.
It is kinda strange, but i think i will practice dancing at
home. But how do you dance to club music anyway? I don't
know..

A lot of modern dance is an evolution from funk dancing, so
if you study some of that, you'll be able to find yourself
from there! You might even come across Funky Drummer, and
then you'll come full-circle, in reverse.

I dance at home all the time. When the rhythm gets you and
all that.

I never dance when I go out but that's because the music at
the clubs near me is utter garbage and I mainly go out to
drink and simply blank out the music.

Hi Monoid, hi jnsato

Hello Indeksical~! Hello Monoid~!

I like dancing at home, too. Thing that sucks is that
dancing is actually fucking loud, so if anyone else is at
the house, it sounds like I'm wanking furiously.

From the funk moves came poppin' and lockin', robot,
foundations of breaking, shuffling, etc. OOOF course I
guess all that came from charleston and shit, so...

Holy shit, anyone remember melbourne shuffle?!

i dont dance too much because
dancing is such a weird thing to me
that i feel a bit stupid doing it in public
i cant stand the idea of people looking at me
while im shaking my body like this.
anyway, i always thought i am a good dancer,
i can easily follow the rythm and even combine diferent
sounds of the tunes for creating my own moves. i guess its
just theres never the music i like at dancing places. then i
just got drunk to be able to bare shitty music and dance
because im supposed to do it and if im not people painfully
looks at me thinking what a boring guy i am and try to make
me dance, what is even more embarassing that the dancing
activity itself. end of story.

dancing is great fun and theres lots of music to dance to,
apart from the boring kind of minimal/house clubs,
but even then you can have some fun, cause theres people
with humor everywhere. ive got myself some signature moves
by now, some people ask me how to do them and say i dance
well, but sometimes i get carried away in the spur of the
moment and get too expressive in comparison to the majority
of people around. (sometimes i wonder a bit if they are
enjoying it at all) so im a dancin fool aswell :) and if i
dont like the music or think its silly or pretentious or
boring i sometimes parodize it. like being at a
dancehall/reggae party and the cheesiest of love songs comes
up i maybe start doing silly romantic moves for the lols.
the girls i go with to those parties usually picked it up
and joined in the fun.
thats one of the reasons why its so great to dance at
braindance/experimental parties. theres some artists who
have exaggerated elements for going spastic, funny elements
too but its also pretty damn good at the same time. and
often theres some fun crowd around aswell^^

Are you fat? I fear to expose myself in public, so i don't
speak and i don't dance.
Society made me this way.

i used to breakdance when i was in around 8-11 yo.

then i moved and didn't ever dance until in was 15 and went
to my first rave.

i'm not sure whether it's drugs that lowered my inhibitions
to allow me to dance, or i just can't be asked unless i'm in
the zone, as i wasn't always on something when i danced.

i don't go out to clubs/events now so don't dance at all.

to be honest, i think i miss it. it was kind of like a kind
of form of meditation.

Dance is the key for understanding the music itself from
inside. I love to dance, maybe the best music for dance 4 me
is Techno music, ROB HALL RULES!

I don't like the music at clubs, but I dance anyway, cos I
