gogogogogo. Focus on delay smoking for next 5 minutes
instead of picturing your life without smokes. Those five
minutes will become an hour, a day, a week. After a week
stay away from places and people you associate with
drinking/smoking. If you manage to stay free for a couple
weeks you made it.

Quite simple unless you get in contact with other people
smoking. That was a major problem when I tried quitting, the
first time I tried I kept clean for 2/3 months then I
started again because I liked the smell of smokes and I was
always with people drinking/smoking.

When I tried again I went with the Cold turkey way, whenever
I wanted to smoke, I drank water, I tell you, I was craving
tobacco, like you can't think anything else but I MUST EXIT
AND BUY SMOKES. Now it's 3 or 4 years I don't smoke and
look, I can't even reacall when I quitted precisely because,
simply, I don't like the taste anymore, I tried a couple of
times to have a toke and I gagged.

you should indulge yourself in the next few days to take
your mind off it as much as possible.

Well done, it takes courage to see it through the first few
days, you will feel aggitated at the slightest things, but
trust me it gets easier over the next few days

in 48 hours your nerve endings start regrowing in your lungs

in 1 week your sense of taste and smell improves
once nerve endings have been repaired/replaced

in 1 month you will notice increased stamina and energy
levels as damaged cells are replaced by new ones. your mood
will improve and you will feel positive, healthy body
healthy mind!

after 1 year you are 50% less likely to die of a heart
attack in comparison to a smoker

after 10 years you have the same chance of cancer a life
long non smoker

The one thing you need to remember is that the craving DOES
go away. So does the emotional volatility of nicotine
withdrawal. If you fall off the wagon, get back on. It takes
a few tries sometimes.

It's chemical, it's temporary.

If you can make it past the first month or so of your lungs
feeling like absolute shit, you'll likely never want to
start up again. As soon as my lungs felt better I cherished
my newfound health so much that I have no desire to ever
smoke again.

"health" of course being a relative term. My lungs are still
far from "healthy" but it's been about 8 months and I feel
so much better it's remarkable.

wow tnx for all support! Lol..I almost cried there. I'm
pretty fine atm but I dont know what will happen in the next
week(s)...I know I'll probably be an addict for the first
years but I'm tired of smoking and I hope I can hold on to
that thought, I wanna be in control again. I'll avoid as
much places where people smoke for the next weeks. Luckely
for me I'm quiting at the same time with a couple of friends
so we will be seeing each other a lot I guess. I just hope
we don't get into a lot of arguments and fights :-)
And for drexciya: I heard some songs on my Ipod and I really
enjoyed it; wich album should I start with?

Congratulations on making such a monumental decision for
yourself! Day by day. . . day by day.

I have recently quit zeganj . And by "recently", I mean
like 7 hours ago, cuz I intentionally smoked all my stash to
not have anything to smoke. I had about a 2 year, daily
supply, so I'm actually kind of looking forward to- uh- not
smoking.

I don't intend to never smoke again, but it'll be nice to be
"clean" for a few months, at least. Make it a "special
thing" again.

the wave of temptation comes ....it almost pulls you to the
shop......you think this force will never subside ( Am I
gonna feel like this forever!!!???)) no you will not, its
about 5 mins long. during this time replace with more
natural pleasures) The weak bitch craving can not pull
you for very long, it goes away and the frequency of these
cravings lessens every day until you do not even think about
it EVER.... one drag fag ruins all your efforts!!!! if you
take one drag you do not get that full quit feeling ....that
feeling in itself is a drug feeling/.....getting healthy
feeling that repairing feeling the feeling your gonna live
to your maximum age .....AS HEALTHY and GREAT AS YOU CAN BE!

congs,

just promise yourself to never start again. There's plenty
reasons not to and you know them anyway.
Aren't cigarette ads just hilarious? Smiling white teeth,
lol.
Laugh at people who offer you one. Pat people who ask you
for one on the head,

i quit last December and it's all good. Sometimes it just
feels weird when there's someone around who smokes, that
familiar smell gets directly to your gut. but lol,

i gave up smoking about the time the counsil came to cut
back all the trees in the street i was at. The trees were
once luxurious , beautiful and green they were purely
glorious, it was a real life dream. . Then the counsel fag
ashes came an choped em all back ..all was left were
branches, no leaves or birds, it was tragic nightmare mane
...that's what a drag of a fag does to your lungs, it cuts
you back and ruins your repair for next 3 years. You may as
well be eating pubic hair there is more class A high toxin
there!

How much do cigs cost in ze name-your-UK-country?

In the US, prices were raised, so it's incredible that
people can even afford that shit. Like $8 a pack here; which
in 2050 money, is about $27,000!

i made all the selections necessary to find out what is
inside a cigarette .

there are only two things in a cigarette, that is , tobacco
and water. : )

i was sure there was paper and other 1000's of nasty
chemicals . : ?

good luck, crazone. i didn't really mean it's overrated. you
will feel much better for it.

i've not smoked a cigarette in over 3 years and quit weed
too, but i've slacked off with exercise in that time so i'm
still not much healthier. it's just good i'm not doing more
damage.

what happened to the electronic ciggerette? you can't buy
them on ebay anymore so maybe they are not as safe as first
thought.. i hope one day you can simulate smoking so well
that they actually make it good for you. Like ciggerettes
that clean your lungs and give your body nutrients etc

haha..I hope they invent them soon. Yesterday I talked to a
girl who's sister died last year and had seen a medium. The
medium said that the sister stood next to her smoking a
sigaret..wich means you can smoke when you're dead :-)

. . .but much like sexing after death... THE PLEASURE COMES
FROM PHYSICALITY!!! NoOooOOoO!

Like some kid who meditates for 10 years straight to grasp
steady consciousness after physical death, but then he finds
out that there is no pleasure. So being able to see every
cute girl in the world masturbate simultaneously, does
absolutely nothing.

How's that shit?!

crziziyone so after you no longer smoke, I hope you
find something BETTER to replace the time, else you might as
well be smoking.

Similar thread-related story- a friend's friend was a
toootal stoner, but then she became bi. And her gf is
military, so she started training crazily and ran marathons
and shit, placing in high percentile. She's in recent times
been training for ironman (seriously). So from stoner, to
marathon high placer, to ironman- that's a pretty good
transition.

Good luck, yo.

You're doing it all wrong, you should ween yourself off over
a 1 year period. 3 a day, 2 a day, 1 a day etc. Eventually
you won't even like the taste anymore.

Running is good in general for quitting chemz, cuz higher
metabolism will clear that shit out fast. Good call.

HAHA, you ever smoke up after running or working out?
Before I quit ganj, I worked out and intentionally
hyperventilated to increase blood oxygen and lung
efficiency, etc., and that shit hit so hard, I almost
collapsed. But then it was gone like 3 seconds later.
