yeh didn't watch the game.. was at a lake in the water,
though you could hear growls from some place…. just read
about this, it's true… what if!

(i don't care at all lol, the city is turning mental however
which is always a good thing.)

the officiating in this sport is worse every time. sometimes
i wonder why i watch the world cup at all. argentina vs.
mexico, clearly offside goal - referees reviewed the video,
and still kept the call........ so why the fuck am i
watching?

those referees really would be called on their bullshit if
FIFA met up with the current broadcasting paradigm and, like
all other professional sports, showed more replays. do they
even show replays in the stadium? well i guess it doesn't
matter because if you show the replay to the ref who made
the bad call, he won't care.

does football exist to create drama from ambiguity? seems
like it. like i said, quarterfinals coming up and i'm no
longer excited to watch. might pass on it completely. so
much bullshit

germany vs. eng, goal that hit the goal and then bounced
clearly behind the line. refs saw it on the replay and
maintained the call. what the shit ?????????

world cup is an extended theater for international tax/trade
fraud probably. you didn't meet these demands so we're going
to pay these referees to humiliate your football team

ha, on german telly we have two experts after the game.
the one (ex player) always insults the other and is an
asshole in general, but i love it. so mr nice guy of course
says its terrible officating isnt assisted by video and that
goal should be good
and the bad guys response is that it would destroy the game
itself and football lives off the drama. "youd like to have
the game all controlled yeah, i bet you would" i laughed
hard.
imo also everyone could see that ball didnt cross the line
(jk.-)

they dont see it on the replay..there are non in the
stadion..that's the point. They have to make the call right
there. They should really change the system..we live in the
next millenium...England could have won this game.

germany had the nicer moves and defense but it was bad,
if they had equalised 2:2, the outcome may have been
different in the end. well never know.

lol @ ronaldo. he wanted to be the world champion or
something but he couldn't even get pass spain who play
really boring football. though not as boring as portugal :
)
neither of the two teams are no where near the level at
which brazil and germany play, so maybe ronaldo saved him
self from embarassement there : )

And he couldn´t even get pass(?) one of the best teams in
the world. Shame on him! You tell him, girl!

one of the best teams indeed but to be the world champion it
takes a win against germany and brazil who are way ahead of
the rest of the teams (as always). so if he couldn't win
against spain dunno how he would ever win germany or brazil.
is all im sayiny : )

slovenia choked when they had it all to get through, I
understand tolstoyed bitterness

spain is not at the level of 2008, but they clearly do not
play boring football... all the opposite, they are playing
some of the best football of the tournament (just not as
often as 2 years ago)

anyway I have to agree, brazil, germany and argentina looked
to be the strongest so far... spain and netherlands will
have their options though

anyway spain are historic chokers in world cups so they
could be sent off by paraguay... anything can happen

del bosque want to secure that midfield with busquets and
xabi alonso, when I think one of them should be replaced by
cesq to have more attacking rythm

also if torres is not in form yet I would play with
llorente, siva or navas instead

but no, spain is not playig boring at all... actually
yesterday´s second half was top quality from spain and they
were close to score a few more goals

forgot about uruguay

they have a big chance of getting to semis... and then
anything can happen

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2010-06-30 14:27 [#02385700]
Points: 50073 Status: Moderator

hah slovenia was clearly one of the most boring teams on
this wc.. they were lucky to get there in the first place
and lucky to score those 4 points. they lack confidence,
just like spain : )
argentina and netherlands stand no chance against germany or
brazil, unless one of these two has seriously bad day or if
plently of luck is involved. it seems everyone but brazil
and germany is scared of playing football nowdays..i haven't
seen any match with argentina or holland recently as i don't
like boring football which they always play in the recent
years. little less boring than portugal and spain though : )

just put my first bets on 2010 world cup:

brazil vs holland

2 - 1
3 - 0
3 - 1

I feel lucky, or I wasted £1.50

"hah slovenia was clearly one of the most boring teams on

just like spain? no way, spain have won the eurocup twice,
still a bit ahead of slovenia in terms of confidence

its obvious you just want to argue, cos you like football,
and you cannot be serious saying argentina has no chance
against germany

of course germany can win that game, and I would be happy,
but argentina do have their chances too

I just hope brazil doesnt win this... after their gold
history of football in the 60´s the football they play
nowadays is really like watching a yellow wall for 5 hours,
totally flat and boring

sorry, i didn't want to compare spain and slovenia by any
means. ofcourse slovenia has no confidence at all, spain at
least got some, but they still appear scared. sure, it's
nice to see even shamefuly bad teams like slovenia to be
able to get their chance, but i don't like to see 10 scared
guys runing around pitch not knowing what to do : )
the only two teams that seem certain in their capabilities
are brazil and germany.. it used to be france and england as
well, and partly italy.. with netherlands and argentina it's
funny because they seem somewhat confident, but when they
play against the top teams they usually suck. i just like
seeing that confident attitude, even when they play shitty
they still somehow pull it off when they must. and now that
france, italy and england are out (for obvious reasons), the
only two left are brazil and germany. it would be pretty
nice to see them in the final. i think most of you guys
mistake 'pretty' for 'good' : ) argentina and netherlands
are like girls, just showing off but can't figure out shit :
)

i was actually impressed by chile and their combinations. i
honestly think that in the end they lost by size. 11 midgets
just can't get far at a world cup. no matter how good they
play.
