It's not a bad film, but not brilliant. I was curious to see
it as there's so many opionions floating around. I saw it in
two sittings as i got bored.

Christoph Waltz stole the show for me. He was great. Pitt
speaking italian was pretty funny. All in all QT has done
much better.

i think the fact you had to watch in two goes says a lot.
mind you, i did that with the deer hunter, but it is
really
long. a

really? i thought pitt's over the top southern accent and
bad italian was one of the weaker aspects of the entire
film. i usually quite enjoy his acting and mannerisms but
not in this film.

waltz was indeed great though.

The Deer Hunter is in another league though. Brilliant film.
Walken and Streep are fantastic in it.

One of my fave films from my teens is Jacob's Ladder. I've
seen it loads of times but the very first time i saw it i
fell asleep. Next morning i thought i'd give it another go
and i'm glad i did. I could have missed out.

I was expecting Inglorious Basterds to have a faster pace.
More excitement.

I think the bad italian was meant to be funny. Though bless
him, Pitt isn't exactly a master of accents. Remember
Snatch?

i don't think i've ever managed too see barry lyndon in one
sitting. it's somewhere after barry has gotten rich and
wealthy and gets married i feel the need to take a break.

meant to be funny in an excessively obvious and forced way,
which i found a bit cheap.

conversely, i thought his accent in snatch was absolutely
brilliant.

now i want to see 'ibasterds', snatch and the deer hunter
again.
