migrating to another country

i have this desire since i was born but i never had the
balls to do it, now i'm almost 30 and for a combination of
facts i find myself free to choose to stay in the place i
live or leave for another country. the main reason is that
i'm not happy with the place i live in. Milan for me is now
just an industrial agglomerate with complete lack of
sociality, and i don't want to die unhappy. i don't have dad
or mum which pays my adventures nor a job ready for me in
the place i want to go which is happens to be Spain at the
moment. i'd have to do it all by myself and if i remember
well there's a few brave people in here who tried similar
changes here so, sharing your experiences would be great.

i imagine it to be probably less comfortable than having a
sedentary job and a sedentary life in a sedentary place,
more fun is 4 sho

strange how one goes out of school eagerly waiting to find
the kind of job that makes you sit all day and later find
how dreadful it is for the whole collectivity

i refuse to sign a 4 years contract to attend a fitness
center where to meet insurance agents that eat creatine and
kiss their muscles in front of a mirror

I had the same feeling about UK i wanted to get out, i had
this crazy idea to move to japan and so i started learning
japanese, but i didn't follow my plan.

Now i am going to marry that chinese girl and move to a
coastal area like Brighten or Cornwall but a part of me
still thinks about getting to another country maybe later
on.

which place do you wanna move to, UK?

and what job are you doing now?

Come live in london. Since the recession and house price
crash it's much more affordable than it used to be. You can
get a 10x10 foot box room for around £200k if you look hard
enough and there's loads of jobs in fast food restaurants.
The immigrants are going home, they don't like it no more.

i love England but it was more attractive as a place to move
to when i was younger, now i'm in love with Spain. of course
i could tell you a million reasons based on my imagination
but reality is that i dunno exactly why, maybe cos i have
good memories of the five times i've been there, maybe the
people stories i've heard but that's it - im already looking
for a Spanish course (but looking for a job in catalunya
requires you to know the català dialect), i've done
Photoshop for 8 years in one of the most renowned publishing
companies in Italy, and i'm not happy with that.

I guess if I was to leave London I'd go to Spain, or
Portugal - equally nice.

you should start putting tiny errors in your phootshop
designs. like a square that is not really a square, but a
trapezoid

perhaps you should just start with looking for jobs in other
countries and try the ones you like. so, at the moment
you've gotten a job, you HAVE to move. it's the point of no
return. and as long as you haven't got a job, there's no
need to dream about all the what if scenarios, because,
well, no job means no if!

hey marco,

i think about 'leaving' a lot and i'm always inspired and
moved by people who have the balls and resourcefulness to
actually do it. It's great that you are taking the first
steps to get away from where you are no longer happy. It
sucks a lot that we have to depend on jobs, but if we are
lucky it allows us to meet cool and friendly new people. Go
for it and tell us how it is done :)
