two MySpace pages...

LAZY_TITLE
This has two tracks I never heard before, but sounds quite
like up to Lassi Nikko's quality standards.

LAZY_TITLE
A fan's site, but a big WTF on the track "Snowball Elbow"

As far as I know he has the two Warp releases, and an EP
from Exogenic Records. Nothing new since 2001. Qtio is
definately strong, start there.

How people still can enjoy Brothomstates? The same reason
some people still enjoy Aphex Twin, Black Sabbath, Beach
Boys or Elvis Fucking Presley, I guess. Or do you think
Brothomstates suddely became "bad music" in 2006 or
something?

no, sorry, i didnt want to be rude, its just i find this
kind of music boring and redundant. it was great some years
ago when it was new, but now it just have nosense for me.
stupidly complex, without a reason/direction, without
emotion... but obviously it is just my opinion, and it might
be subject to changes in the next few months...

i completely agree, brothomstates didnt have to make any
kind of transition to have his sound stay fresh.

melack, you should probably give this guy a second chance,
start off by listening through the two warp albums qtio and
claro - im sure you will realize rather quickly that this
guy is an amazing musician.

and also dont judge his music based on that he was a part of
the "idm" movement, like most cases, his music has nothing
to do with idm

Brothomstates already started with a classic electronic
sound, which is why his music has aged well

"Rebalancing the bio energy feed back
structure"

I'm pretty high so it was easy to waste a few minutes
figuring that out

i listen nothing special, the obvious things everybody here
listens...
recently : squarepushers latest output, wisp album,
exploding plastix...
its just i cant stand that complex random pretentious beats
ala autechre,
they are no fun anymore. maybe i have this attitude also
because the idm fashion has arrived to barcelona, and a new
scene of local producers is growing, but they all make this
kind of crunchy inconcrete music. its just shit, but they
suck the others balls so they are creating the
cool-ghetto-tronics.

chunty : i already listened the brothomstate's claro by the
time it was released, and i must admit it has some
interesting ideas and sounds and a couple of amazing tunes,
but its like his tunes lack some kind of more logical
structure or progression, i dont really know/remember, but i
just quickly forgot about this album...

Fair enough. I got a fever. And the only prescription is not
more cowbell, but more complex random pretentious beats. I
guess you can get tired of that, but if you listen to tracks
like Brothomstates vs Bill Yard, Viimo and Rktic, I think
you have to admit that Brothomstates also makes a lot of
tracks with more "logic beats" and focus on melody.

i admit brothomstates also makes a lot of tracks with more
logic beats and focus on melody. i admit brothomstates is a
good electronic composer.

relistening the claro album again, its like theres plenty of
anthological moments there, with an amazing sound or melody
or beat (like the melody on mdrmx or the kick on kava and
etc), but then the development dont fit the sound
composition or something. i just want to listen the album to
rediscover those concret moment, and not for the whole tunes
