Hey, does anyone know good female artist in the
IDM/Braindance/Interesting Electronic Music genre ?

Except Syntheme, i realize i don't know a single good
electro-artist with a vagina...

Delia Derbyshire.

Try to have a listen to "blue veils and golden sands" and
"the delian mode", both are amazing and decades old.

shit...i already know those records...good records anyway.

Delia Derbyshire was so ahead of its time. I can't believe
those records are from the 60's-70's when i listen to them.
I love "an electric storm" album.

Doris Norton is just overrated. Her techno albums are
awful.

And Karen tregaskin is a hoax.

Too obvious too, my firend...

I think it's hopeless : (

I'll have to train my own IDM-girls-army to rule the entire
scene !!!

IDM and IDM...

I really like The Doubtful Guest, a female opera singer
recording hardcore in Acid Sauna at Planet Mu. On the same
label, calmer, try Jo Apps. Doubtful Guest has some
(forgotten acid heroess) Laura Grabb over her.

On Max Ernst, tune in Georgian Tusia Beridze (also under
name Tba).

On Rephlex, mentioned Laila, then members of Slipper and The
Gentle People as, always antagonized, Lektrogirl.

Helen T(aylor) releases drum'n'bass om her label IDM.

Beyond IDM there are female techno producers, some
commersially successfull, other sadly underestimated, like
wonderful pioneer K. Hand. "Experimental electronica"
(cut-up, noise etc) is also vaginally represented. I guess
IDM is a rather small and male nerdy genre. Do you call
Ellen Allien's latest efforts (post-Apparat) IDM?

I'll dig all this links MASUGNEN. Thanx.

Would you really call her music IDM, though?

She's brilliant, indeed, and probably the only well-known
downtown NYC improviser that uses laptop, but her music is
exceedingly more sophisticated and complex than any IDM
nonsense.
