have you noticed the similarity in sound between qtio by
brothomstates and cofield by autechre...they have been
released both in 2001 but they seem as if they had been
influenced by each other...

I don't think Qtio has shit on confield. As much as I love
the cd. Its about 5 years behind.

the first song on qtio reminds me lentic catachresis for
example...another one (track3?!) is similar to VI scose
poise

The sounds from Qtio are all softsynth. Baisically presets.
The arangements, altho interesting, are a bit ammaturish.
Like I said I like the cd, but confield has this amazing "I
like to wank with my granular synthesis" fell, and the
sounds are all composed in such a mature fashion.

I personally don't see any resemblance.

I really like quito, but i dont have confield, so this whole
post is pointless.

But quito seems really cool.

Riccardo, I have no idea why you think Qtio (the first
track) sounds like Lentic Catachresis, and if track three
(Loose Fit) sounds like anything off of Confield, it's track
6, Bine.

Yeah, I also disagree with the 'ammaturish' comment. I think
Lassi's done just fine. Claro, to me, sounds like a fully
realized album. It's probably one of my favorites.

possible lawsuits
