some ppl say that a policeman is not faulty, he's one of us,
he just do the job that hes paid for but at the few
demonstration i went to, he always appeared to have some
kind of sadistic fun doing what he does, the way he does.

Do you not think that jobs that require you to do thing like
break up protest attract a certain kind of person, perhaps
someone predisposed to enjoying such a thing?

What was the reasoning behind the police doing this anyway?

the students had stayed in the university for 4 months, i
think, sleeping there and etc, and finally the university
'boss' (well, its a public uni, but the director man)
decided to call the police to have them out

at the last RNC convention near where i live the police
pepper sprayed both protesters and bystanders, manhandled
everyone, arrested everyone including non-participating
bystanders, jailed people without charges for hours, then
released everyone, and then six months later dropped all
charges against most of those arrested.

they have developed these strategies to suppress dissent
within the scope of existing law. they use intimidation,
harrassment, chemical sprays and incarceration without
charges to accomplish this.

but hey, freedom isn't free, as the right wing nutjobs like
to say.

for those who may not know, RNC = republican national
convention.
