i fucking love it. rarely does a record sound this good on first listen, and i'm at work listening on shitty earbuds.
it's so warm and sweet and enrapturing.
most of the tunes are instrumental, and those with vocals have the voice buried in the mix.
i've been listening to music for many, many years, and even with so many new discoveries in the last year from points all over time and the world i don't recall an instance of the confounding and unanticipated surprise and delight that i'm experiencing from this record. and normally i hate to use the word delight.
great artwork, too.
