Just found these guys via "reddit". Never heard of them
before, but so far they sound pretty cool. Very BOC esque.
...discuss.

Also reminds me a bit of Dextro:

LAZY_MIND

Quite a boring video, and the thing he's builiding
throughout it flies like shit, but the music is good.

if you're only as good as your last album, tycho has boc
beat.

Agreed, good Tycho is better than bad BOC. He does them
better than they do themselves anymore. And that sounds
dirty. And I like dirty.

i really like tycho, yes very boc like, but more boc
inspired, kinda like a cripser more digital sound which in
turn is not really that bad a thing,

his artwork is great tho

Every once in a great while I try my darndest to like
Hamfire Manwipe and come away hating it worse than ever.

yea i dont get all the headphase hate, i suppose it will
awesome though after the next one releases and then that one
will be shite.

i dig tycho's music but i really like his design work. much
of his design work is derivative of his infatuation with a
60's aesthetic, which is great. i visit his blog quite
often.

yeah yeah, we're all on the hate-on-boc-bandwagon. can't
wait until the next record comes out so i can say it's
shit.

chimpfart hamface isn't a terrible record, it's just
half-baked and overworked. it's your lame dad's version of
boc.

let's just agree to disagree instead of coming up with
stupid reasons to explain why some people don't like the
records we like.

Well, I think Campfire Headphase is titties and I don't care
what anyone says.

if by titties you mean accidentally walking in on grandma
getting out of the shower, then we are in agreement.

take it personal, i can agree to disagree. thats fine. i
agree.

i personally have no problem with The Campfire Headphase
musically, or in terms of the approach to the music.

my problem with the album is the processing and overall
"digitalness"

not that there's anything wrong with having a pristine
sounding recording, it's just that it seemed like such a
detraction from part of the essence of Boards of Canada

but. what the fuck do i know?

offline oscillik from the fires of orc on 2009-02-13 13:33 [#02272381]

oh yeah, and Tycho....i dunno.
it is blatant Boards of Canada style hotdog sauce
