Yesterday I listened the Cavity Job by Autechre and I was
really surprised... that is the techno music who I liked in
when I was really young...
This ep is totally old school's techno, enough simple and
good especially for dancefloor, anyway I like it, it
remember me my fist techno tapes.

It's amazing when I think to their musical evolution from
Cavity Job ep untill Confield!!!

yep; and think of your evolution from liking old school
techno to confield (if you do)

A's musical evolution is mind blowing but I really don't
like Cavity Job. I just can't get into it at all. I
probably would have loved it if I had heard it 10 years ago.

i am dling it now; it's one of very few ae tracks i've not
heard yet.

what i'm more scared about is what's coming up after
confield. i wonder if theres another step even possible;
it's already so extremly weird and it took a damn long time
to get into it. now i play it nearly every day, it really
pushed forward my horizon. don't know how to top confield

This is one of the skeletons in their cupboard....a lot of
decent artists released a few dodgy first time EPs when Rave
was really strong in the UK...

Ae with Caivty Job, Global Communication with Trip to
Trumpton....even rdj with PACMAN....

Thankfully they found more fertile creative fields to move
into....& left this sort of nonsense to The Prodigy & the
like...

if all those guys had advanced as ae did we'd had a lot more
music to talk about.

you take this labeling genre stuff a little too seriously...
at least Ae wasn't in a boy band... its not like Warp is
rereleasing Cavity Job to exploit it... like some artists
dreg up every noise they ever made and try to sell it

and RDJ's Pacman is just a fun parody of what was then the
current techno scene, RDJ and Rephlex artists have a sense
of humor and fun

i was gonna say - this is more like Rave than techno

but it's cool

you can still see that autechre had their signature
percolating percussion even back then
