SAW2, definitely. A lot of SAW 85-92 isn't even all that
ambient... Green Calx?!?!?! SAW2 delivers the goods, folks.
Delivers them mother fucking goods, time after time. Baby.

SAW 85-92 all the way. I don't care what you say, Ageispolis
is the best Aphex Track ever. Tha and Xtal are close seconds
as well. Green Calx is also great too... but not really
ambient.

yeah, SAW85-92 for me as well... I think it's awesome... as
is SAWII, but it's not really my cup of tea right now...

some of SAW is rather good, some is just cheesy crap....but
that doesn't mean it's bad.... it has a very unique feeling
to it.

I personally prefer SAW II.

Saw II is one of those albums I listen to that makes me glad
i'm alive. I do like SAW 85-92 a great deal, but it doesn't
hit me as deep as II does.

Sad Story: in the dim and distant past, I once spent a
entire year just listeing to SAWI...(not 24/7 but it never
left my walkma, and my walkman seldom left me...)...

So I'm pretty fond of that CD....

I think it's difficult to decide really tho...SAWII is so
much diff than SAWI that it couldn't been diff artists (aprt
from that AFX "sound" that instantly marks him out)...

PLUS I think people forget the shock of SAWI when it first
appeared plus the young age of rdj...theres was NOTHING like
it...today you kids are spolt (j/k)..;)...everyone & their
dog has got FL or whatever and can produce decent stuff -
consdiering rdjs kit in those days, I think the CD still
stands up very well...

SAWII is too long for me...

I think SAWII is timeless....SAWI has aged a bit, its more
electro I think but catchy. I love tha though and that
agepolis song. SAW II is deep. SAW II has alot of soul.

I love pretty much all of SAW85-92... Hedphelym is my least
favorite, and Ptolemy sounds a bit cheap, but is still
good... SAWII I like, but not quite as much...

i have to agree :)
saw2 is so creative when it comes to ambient, also i turely
don't think rdj knew what he was doing, which does create
some pretty bizzare outcomes.

Maybe I prefer the easier SAW 85-92, but I agree with you
about your considerations.

very hard to decide, but i'd go with sawII, i just listen to
it more than saw85-92, that doesn't mean it's better just i
like it more... :)

you don't even OWN saw ;P nor have you heard it! but you'd
probably not like it as much as saw2, to be fair..

Just curious, how much did you guys pay for SAW 85-92? I had
to shell out 20 bucks for it, plus tax. I'm sure I could've
gotten it cheaper, but I saw it at Tower and it was one of
those impulse purchases.
