What does Tekkon mean? Wasn't that a fighting game for some
years?

ah right, right. Never was much of a fighting game
aficionado, as you can see. Well, there are a few
exceptions..

I have yet to see the movie still, but I have listened to
the soundtrack of course. It's a great song, especially the
first half. There's a lot of great tunes on the OST, but
the real winner in my book is "White's Dream." It's very
hard for me to find the words for it, but it's honestly one
of the most moving pieces ever for a film.

I hope Plaid keeps on making movie soundtracks (they have
already completed another one). I would love to see them
compose scores for big budget movies. I am curious if
Spielberg has seen the movie as he likes a lot of anime.

A touching, tense, exciting and wonderfully animated film
which left me me thinking more about the relationship
between the two boys than their fight against super powered
demon chaps and the first anime in a long time that both me
and ladydeksical enjoyed. Excellent subtle visual themes and
motifs as well. The first anime in a long time that both
meBased on a superb book, too. You owe it to yourself to
check it out xltronic.com/mb, in fact I'm disappointed you
haven't.

black and white was pretty interesting...
haven't seen Tekkonkinkreet but Plaid would seem well suited
to the "black and white" world.
they should have made "no.5" an anime.

tekkonkinkreet means something in the means of "iron
concrete" or "concrete jungle".
I thought the movie was pretty interesting (looked GREAT in
full HD), and the music by plaid set the tone just right.
not a must-see, but it's worth a shot.

i love this movie. i consider it the best anime i've ever
seen. of course, generally, i don't like anime.

Tekkon Kinkreet is actually a play on words in Japanese.

concrete with rebar in Japanese is tekkin konkreet. then
they just swap the second syllables of each word. kinda like
slang. according to my mom who is a native speaker anyway.

I have the soundtrack but haven't seen the film yet.

I'm right there with revpersona. White's Dream is
spectacular.

Great release. Like lupus yonderboy, I'm now making my way
through plaid's discography again because of this
soundtrack.
