I just hope this time America keeps a close eye this time around, and not fall for stupid stuff TV tells them to believe. I think most Americans learned their mistakes, and have a better understanding how the news networks and other media outlets are all owned by people whom are friends with, or, are, asshole politicians. It's the same in Canada, but since we have a smaller media it's easy for us to know who owns what and whos screwing who. In the US there is so much ground to cover it's hard to keep up. Canada has the Irvings. They are a huge oil company. They like shut down blogs and shit like that if someone goes against them. The majority of east coast Canadians know who they are though, so there is always that undertone of "Those fuckers!". Like I said in a previous post, I think we need to learn that the media is something that we shouldn't really trust at all. We should all know who owns the basic huge companies, so then we have a better chance of guessing their motives. This way, if a company is pushing something like Carbon Tax you can follow the link back to the CEO who sits on the board of directors of the company who is going to build all the mandatory filters. The fight is long over, we must be sensitive to the perceptions the ruling class projects to us. A basic study in marketing or something like that can teach you a lot. Used books are cheap and teach a lot ! |

politicians in italy are starting to make jokes about obama's skin, someone else is saying that obama's election will raise the risk of terrorists attacks. it's like the western mentality has turned abruptly, US are now apparently leading the vanguard and Europe is the one got left behind. whats clear to me, it's that the years we've been recently living are gone, regardless of the level of honesty that will demonstrate the new elected US president. politics, economics, and all the other authorities that driven the society until today seem to be very very far from the people's awareness, and the people's willing, and even if the fight will be long, it will be a long run of the elite after us. cos we have no money to lose, and the evolution happening with the mix of the highest values, skills and intelligencies of the cultures cannot be stopped, even with the brute force. |
