for those of you who haven't seen it (usa or not)
omaba's infomercial is simply... breath taking. sure, it's super
produced to tug at your heart strings, but beneath that lies
the confidence of a man who knows how to steer this country
back into the right direction, and WANTS to do it. as
cheesy as it sounds, i feel like this election could be
another pan-american uniting experience akin to jfk.

i'm not posting it to campaign or anything, this is a
historical document which i think all those who have any
interest in the future of this planet should see.

the course of usa is set to continue sliding down the slope,
into hell and oblivion. what's obama going to do, stand in
the pit with arms wide open?

McCain is going to win. It doesn't matter how many people
want to vote for Obama. What matters is who gets to have
voters deregistered, who gets to assign too few polling
stations to Democratic districts, and who gets to set up
intimidating roadblocks in black districts in Florida on
election day.

And if the Democrats squawk, well, Scalia's still on the
bench.

Oh, haha, did I mention that the DoJ is completely staffed
with Republican loyalists since the Bush loyalty tests and
purges?

Hahahaha! America, enjoy your Christian fascist taliban
regime. Irony dictates that you have earned it.

well if mcsame and failin are elected, then the americans
will revolt and we can all watch america crumble, so it's
win-win either way.

If the Republicans do win, it won't be as easy as watching
America spiral further downwards.

I think you're forgetting the negative impact USA has on the
planet as a whole, phonopix. In terms of environment and
loads of other factors.

I think a lot of the worlds problems could be solved if
people were more sensitive to what goes into making
multimedia. It might sound far fetched, but I find it's easy
to get trapped into advertising/video/marketing and not know
it. A media studies class in high school or something would
do wonders. Teach kids about product placement, what color
the eye sees first, just stuff like that. Our perception is
being tricked constantly, and I think XLT can agree that
with all our music making/ video editing skills we are able
to see through some things quicker then someone with less
multi media knowledge.

I'm just watching this video and getting sucked in and it's
just spoon feeding me a bunch of stuff that could very well
be made up, dramatized, or even true. It is invasive to my
perceptual sphere, which is naturally reasonable and will
instinctively follow reason which resembles my belief. Not
to get all metaphysical or whatever.

If you look at all the worlds problems they seem to stem for
our desires, not to sustain our own lives, but to sustain a
lifestyle of some sort.

How many times did he mess up his lines? Would his speech be
just as powerful if they were playing the A&W song on tuba
in the back ground. Is there really a message being
projected or is it a feeling instead ? To make me feel sad,
but he offers a solution? Like the guy selling an Abmachine
after watching 5 minutes of fat people eating hamburgers?

The majority keeps buying into all sorts of ideas by
direction of some multi medium. I honestly think it effects
people negatively. I just cringe now I don't like watching
shit like this anymore, It's like I'm being robbed or
something, I feel dirty!

All the conspiracy movies, and all the documentaries,
commercial art (advertisements) I'm just kind of cautious
about them now that's all I'm trying to say.

don't get me wrong. i think obama might be able to 'ease the
pain' for many people

until the ship inevitably goes down.

his parents were atheists, and he has expressed skepticism
in regards to the supernatural and life after death, but
still considers moderate christianity a cultural candle in
the dark, and is like a deist or something (but probably has
to say that to get dem votez). so either he's the spawn of
satan here to join forces with dawkins and destroy
monotheism, or he's going to finally introduce america to
THE AGE OF REASON where every other developed nation happily
resides... just throwin that shit out there

i sense a power far higher than any president , doesn't
matter whos in that white house. security for those higher
people and those around them is paramount and all the
millions of companies they control. although i think its
gone so far that they quiet look forward to the time when
disaster strikes and they can test out their underground
cities.

"test out their underground cities."

lol- wouldn't be surprised.

Is America really ready for a a Black president who actually
cares about the world though? Could this mean he doesn't get
voted in?

I still don't think he is the definate winner. People could
say one thing on the popularity polls, then in the voting
booth go the other way, into McCain's dirty, immoral hands.
I don't think there is enough for USA-ians to vote for the
greater good. There prolly never will be.

i'm hoping obama/biden nails it over mccain/pailin..

Its a pity that his presedentship will lead to a refocusing
of the crackerhead racist brigade who probably hadn't much
cause for getting together till now. now they can unite is
some dillusional argument against the black man again....

Sad times ahead but Obama seems level headed enough to
battle though it calmly... Biden is pretty cool too and they
have a great dynamic ... with support by powel and
clinton... how can anyone consdier the alternative?

This election is interesting for the fact that the powerful
demographic is that of the under 30s. Utilising 'new' media
Barack has run a very sucessful campaign in that he is
getting you kids to vote. I wish Canadian politics had a
similar candidate. Voter turn out was crap here and the
people who didn't vote were the kids. He has changed the
face of a political campaign for sure.

Agreed. One of the oddest uses of new media which I have
seen is that there is now a site where you can sign up to
have your Facebook and Twitter statuses updated periodically
to encourage others to vote Obama. It does this every hour
or so I believe, keeping the statuses at the top of most
people's feeds.
