you mean swaying back and forth with your upper body while
sitting?

that's one of the clearest indications of autism, bro.

i'm not saying you're autistic, though.

maybe you have to pee really bad while listening to
music...?

yes, exactly =(

it happens when i listen to music it excites me much, or
when i do some. i often realize it after a while this
happens but i manage to stop of course.

if you are moving to music, then you should be locked up
behind bars for the rest of your life. its almost the same
as dancing! and NOONE dances to IDM.

tho

keep on keeping on, i say.

oscillate at will.

but it wouldn't hurt to give your mother a hug.

if this isn't possible, hug your girlfriend.

just go and hug somebody that needs a hug like you do.

sometimes i hug my mother but she's the one in the need, not
me. i don't hug my gf when it happens cos i don't live with
her, and i'm usually alone when i listen to music. i started
this thread cos it's happening at work and that's bad, i
shouldn't really keep headphones with me i guess.

wait, you don't hug your gf when she wants to? what do you
do? slap her?

do you have problems relating to people in everyday life,
or?

Maybe if you find the oscillation frequency, you could
damage your house. Remember when the Mythbusters made that
bridge shake with that tiny little oscillation gagdet? Yeah.

lol

if she wants a honest hug i hug her fondly, i don't hug her
only if she wants to corrupt me for something =)

i have always preferred to be alone since i was born, and i
always had little problems of self control since i was in
primary school. i thought it was more something related to
my character, something i could have managed into my mind.

but since a few months i notice that something is starting
to affect my body somehow, and it's strange cos this is
definately not the worst period of my life.

"but since a few months i notice that something is starting

to affect my body somehow..."

maybe you really are "from Outa Space?"

ever thought about that, huh?

___

if you're being serious, and want opinons on whether you're
OK or not, i'm sure xltronic is NOT the best place to ask
these sort of questions.

kind of experience cos it's something related to music.

It is perfectly normal to sway or rock backwards and
forwards when in a medetive state that you can get into when
listening to music. It is actually a quite calming activity,
this is why it is associated with mental disorders. The big
difference with you is that you are aware of it.

If it wasn't a pleasent human thing to do the rocking chair
industry would never exist. No one would rock a baby to
sleep and swings in playgrounds would never have been
installed.

yay! i'm starting to get the picture, the weird thing is
that i do not decide to do that but i find myself doing it
after a few and think 'wtf am i doing'. according to your
info it's just something that happens when i particularly
feel some musek?

keep in mind that autism is not a binary condition, it is
defined as degrees along a continuum of shared symptoms.
most everybody has at least an autistic quality or two, and
obviously some more than others.

i for one constantly tap and twiddle with things
unconsciously - i'll often pick up some small innocuous
object and play with it for half an hour, then put it down
in some other location, all without ever realizing i had
picked it up in the first place - as well as a splash of
pica and a distaste for phone conversations (i often have a
hard time interpreting people's emotions in a face-to-face
conversation, so when there are no facial or body language
cues i am at a loss). i have had friends with even stranger
compulsive, repetitive activities who have been far from
being declared disabled.

do these qualities probably make me slightly more autistic
than the norm? yes. but do they affect me in a way that i
can't be a part of mainstream society? not at all.

and interesting look into the autistic mind is this short
film in my language. while i do take slight issue with his
use of the word language (the definition of which being a
shared form of communication with grammatical
structure), it certainly provides some intriguing insight
into a mind which, by definition, cannot be described, at
least in proper, to us.

thanks for the link, that was an interesting view, even if
now i'm reading that autism has been probably caused by
vaccines containing a toxin banned, but still used, back in
1999.
