Hahaha, I know, that's great, and the best bit about it
is... oh, hello! It seems I have UNLIMITED ACCESS to the
Internet for a LIMITED AMOUNT OF TIME. I, like you, like
music. The trouble is, I've played all the songs that I've
got too many times, and now I'd like new songs to listen to,
to inspire new thoughts, feelings, inspiration. To stop me
from being a shit all the time.

What do YOU think I might like.....? It's not so tricky, is
it? Let's say, what's come out lately that might NOT annoy
me?

For reference I like Ambient Music, Mixes by the likes of
VLR or Hanal, and anything thing that won't upset me too
much as I'm getting old now.

THANKS!?!?!?!?

The new Jesu EP is nice its called Why Are We Not Perfect

I am also enjoying the new Tricky one

I listened to the samples of the new Tricky a bit back, the
trouble was I read the Press Release first, thought "This
sounds like it's going to be HOT", then the actual samples
sounded nothing like the descriptions, but then that's the
way of PR.

Let's listen to Jesu!

when i want new music i go to, either IDMtrade or
boardsofelectronica and just browse it, you find loads of
new artists, some are promoting their music, some have been
uploaded for you to check out, but if you like it buy it!

Yer, I've nabbed a fair bit off of boardsofelectronica
(great name.... ) IDMtrade is new to me though... so
THANKS!?!?!?!?

Ha, IDMTrade has the mighty Essence of Congs by Robert
Logan, which is handy as whilst I did buy the CD (and very
good it is too) I don't have it with me.

i recommend to hunt down stuff basing on your intuitions.
find a little connection to one record you like, reading
about that period or even googling a random word that has
something to do with it. the ability to discover music using
your instinct will surprise and please yourself.

That Dr C Stein is great, THANKS!?!?!?

Sorry FlyAgaric, did we once have a terrible argument over
Joy Division? SORRY!?!?!?! I do apologise.

Staz, top tips, THANKS!?!?!?! I saw a ZZ Top video the other
day and did think to myself "must..get some ZZ TOP", didn't
Rapeman originally plan to pay homage to ZZ Top by having
the album sleeve a gatefold picture of a barbeque or...
something, something to do with ZZ Top. And Silkworm yes,
must.. check... out.

Songs of Experience (-_o) David Axelrod

E X
P E R (lounging lady)
I E N C E

You probably already have that. So how about Harmonia
"Musik von Harmonia"? Ambient recliner rock you can really
sink your seat into. Listen as Hematic Sunsets "Musik Aus
Dem Aroma Club" chugs its way through a tunnel. (google for
rapidshare link)

Full-blown ambient? Toshiya Tsunoda "Scenery of
Decalcomania" presents you the world through a funnel.

There's always room for more Iannis Xenakis and the summery
sounds of Heptones "On Top" can't be beat. Violent misogyny
has never sounded so good!

I've got the handle, baby, you've got the blade. Don't try
to fight me, babe, cuz you'll need first aid.

On top, indeed! "..and Friends" is great also, if that's
your sort of thing. That's all I've been listening to.

some albums i have been liking recently:

amon tobin - all of his "monthly joints," especially
delphim. the man seems to be listening to a lot of dubstep.

does it offend you, yeah? - you have no idea what you're
getting into: some lovely mix between electro-house, punk,
metal and indie, these guys know how to make an album which
sounds like 20 different (VERY different) bands but still
retain their own unique sound. prolly a bit too "young" for
your aging ass.

funckarma - dubstoned: some really good, low key dubstep.
extremely atmospheric and minimal, great for walking around
a city with headphones on at night.

pan sonic - kuvaputki: i don't know what the fuck to call
this stuff. it's noise, it's ambient, it's minimal, and it's
fucking loud (in parts, it's actually an incredibly dynamic
disc). this sounds like someone cut up saw2, pitched it down
about six semitones, cranked up the bass and sent the whole
thing through a bitcrusher.

but who knows if any of these will interest you, you're a
picky bastard.
