It's the album that made me follow the path of electronic
music from 1992 to 2002. I used to fall asleep every night
for about year to the meditative beats of Tha. It's still
one of my favorite electronic tracks ever. I was 19 when
SAWI was released and came to that record with a past of
Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Art of Noise, Tangerine Dream and
Klaus Schulze. My world was turned around and I felt that
this was electronic music like I had dreamed and wanted and
longed for it to be. This was the shit, maaan! From there
the scene just blossomed and bands like Autechre, Seefeel,
Higher Intelligence Agency, Mouse On Mars, FSOL, The Orb,
Carl Craig, Kenny Larkin, Jeff Mills and many more kept the
journey at a busy pace.

I'm probably an old fart for saying this but THOSE were the
days of electronic music.

I'm with you, love, don't worry. Though Seefeel, HIA, Mouse
on Mars.... hmmm, also-rans at best.

you are sooooo right on! I also followed a very similar path
with nearly the same music.

I just had SAW 85-92 on a bit ago as it happens; it really
is such beautiful album. It'll never age. "Tha" is
especially heavenly... I wonder where those outdoor/talking
samples come from?

I love these guys, especially the kick ass outside violin
solo song, along with purple calx, pikachu muthafucker, and
autumn acid aphex remix.
Right up there with tiesto and digweed.

now playing.....................

you can burn all other music to the ground, leaving just
this album, and the world would be perfect

the sun is setting, the sky is grey, i'm knackered, my
daughter is sleeping and Aphex Twin is playing............
