infinisorrow everytime. . .

it's alright so far, i've heard about half. the water track
is really different and great, i think it stood out as a
"they should have done more like this instead" kind of
track.

Torrent (Portishead - Third [2008/MP3/170 (VBR)]) was
automatically deleted (rules broken: Low bitrate)

offline Advocate on 2008-03-07 16:26 [#02182830]
Points: 3319 Status: Lurker

I downloaded a VBR too, but there's definitely something
wrong with it. It sounded 128kbps-ish (or lower) to me. I'll
wait 'till I get a better rip.

it has a couple of really nice songs on it. but overal they
seem to be too much into a hurry.

i have to say that this is a mighty good release, hampered
largely by the low sound quality of the leak. it beat my
expectations for sure (though my expectations were
admittedly very low).

album, really is amazing, especially track 4! love the way
it builds up

I have also given the entire album a couple of listens and
I am finding each time I find another track that really
catches my ear.

Good Stuff...Need a better quality recording though

I am really impressed by this album. I remember going into a
record shop and they were playing Dummy after about 20
seconds I bought it. I don't think this would happen with
this one and to be honest you do have to want to like it. It
has some great hooks and I think it is lovely. Certainly not
the dissapointment I was prepared for.

over time it gets better. i still like their previous albums
more, but this one certainly has its moments. and perhaps
more importantly, it adds something to their previous
output. i mean, it's not redundant wrt to their older
albums. which, to me, is quite an achievement.
