I was watching CNN and they said she was assassinated, which is really awful.
I honestly think the American government organized it. It wouldn't be the first time !

Awful because she is a person, I don't know what she is doing that's bad, I have no political view more then thinking what I see on tv is a lie. It's childish but after you hear about so many other examples of situations like this , you just stop trusting your ... owners.

yes I caught this news today, was going to start a thread...
I don't know what to say really, it's shocking and sickening that there are people out there who would kill a mother of 3, at a rally leading up to an election, and for what?
The world has gone crazy..

Yes, of course, the American government wanted to assassinate the person they actually wanted to win next year.
That makes sense. At least learn a bit about shit before you start talking it.

...because of being friends with bush, or what?
I think this was an awful attack which just leads to more deaths and chaos, but it wasn't even a little surprising, just something bound to happen any day... (can't we just ban religon, read som critical theory and do what needs to be done - save the environment and end all forms of slavery?)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure America WANTS democracy in Pakistan and therefore supported this woman. Democracy usually generates money, war loses money.
Of course, when I say democracy, I don't mean real democracy - but controlled democracy, where the people "think" they live in a democracy but don't.
And if you live in a dustbowl where oil is the only available bargaining chip, democracy becomes irrelevant - you support whatever government gets you the oil and help kill whoever gets in the way of you obtaining it. If you can put a puppet government in, ie. Iraq all the better.
This is how the US operates, while Europe turns a blind eye or uses terrorism as an excuse to back them.

The American Government should assinate all the entrants of american idol they dont want to win on the first show, then the winner will be revealed much quicker, hence they producers of the show will save costs.

If the US would've sent in the kind of security force that would've been needed, she would've been seen as a puppet and it would've made her much less popular. Plus, people don't like america sending troops into their country. Plus, we suck at keeping people alive.
Don't get me wrong, we suck and our gov has most certainly assassinated heads of state and set up coups and probably will again, but to my knowledge there's not much that points toward anything other than the us liking her more than any of the other options.
How do we really know? I guess we never can. But, she was probably more outwardly open to a friendly relationship with the us than Musharraf, as well as more outwardly anti-religious extremist. What I'm saying is there seems to be a lot that would imply we would want her to win, and not very much at all that implies that we would gain anything by her being killed.

that's not true at all
she had many enemies inside the pakistani army but not only and she knew very well her time was counted but she actually refused protection from the us, it was only a matter of time...
besides there's way too little information for now to actually know who is behind it
