as much as i love music im fed up with boring unimaginative generic music which is surely not less than 75% of what i hear by chance. sounding nice just isn't enough anymore..luckly those 25% still keep me occupied 24/7. are you a music nazi? |

no, i'm a music ghandi. i'm on a hunger strike until aphex releases another album at this moment. so far no luck, although since the tuss release i allowed myself the occasional cracker here and there. |

yeah but when i really think about it, it's just music. i had a stint where i couldn't buy music at all due to money restraints and actually traded in a bunch of stuff, around 100 cds, for cash. i like my collection more now. greater quality, less quantity. i'm sure you have a bajillion cds/vinyl/minidisc/8 tracks/suzaphone recordings? |

I don't believe that's true. There is a ton of "new music" being made daily in the fields of jazz, soul, hip hop, instrumental, electronic etc etc etc which does not garner mass publicity, but which contains much that is interesting without compromising the creativity to suit radio stations or record labels. Maybe you mean there are certain people to whom modern mainstream music will never appeal, in which case--sure. |
