The three of them could change surnames. Richard Booth, Sean
Brown and Rob James.

Get an LFO release on the same day and happy days.

alias isn't what matters..also what makes you think tuss is
rdj?

as i said in my initial post, there's been lots of his music
released in the past few years, but still, a proper album is
a completly different experience to listening to individual
tracks or short eps..specially when they're made in coherent
rdj style mmm

1997 - RDJ ALBUM
2001 - DRUKQS
(4 years and it was an infinity)

2001 - DRUKQS
2008 - ....
(almost 7 years... my god it's a tragedy)

dont you think tuss is rdj?

I didnt at first... but it seems to be official by now

anyway the tuss has an ep and an album, both quite
excellent

if that is rdj, I think he has done his homework till 2009

not counting the tuss we still have the analord series in
2005.

analord series left us like 15 absolutely amazing tracks

offline pigster from melbs on 2007-12-12 04:15 [#02153294]
Points: 4480 Status: Lurker

hehehe, not to mention any of the 11 analord EPs or the tuss
material, which is SUPPOSEDLY richard.

but yeah, some sort of aphex twin album would be amazingly
welcome : )

offline pigster from melbs on 2007-12-12 04:16 [#02153295]

that was a follow up to wooferattack.. and maybe tolstoyed :

well, as i said...and album to me is quite a different
experience to a serie of eps..i love analords and chosen
lords and tuss is pretty nice (i still think it's maybe him
with some friends), but a proper rdj album is just a
completly different thing for me..it's the idea of an album
itself that makes it somehow more exciting..when you look at
the history of released music you will hardly find ep's or
singles, it's albums that count and even if that idea is
silly to some it makes sense to me.

saw 85-92: compilation of tracks made over 7 years
I care because you do: compilation of tracks mae over the
previous 5 years
drukqs: compilation of tracks made over 3 diferent "eras" of
his career

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2007-12-12 04:39 [#02153305]
Points: 50073 Status: Moderator

well, all those work great as albums..you know, creative
artists usually record lots of tracks (even up to 200 in
some cases) and then pick their favs or the ones that make
most sense on an album so in some way lots of albums are
compilations..

as for drukqs..what do you mean by 3 eras exactly?

offline nacmat on 2007-12-12 04:56 [#02153308]
Points: 31271 Status: Lurker | Followup to tolstoyed: #02153305

then what do you have against chosen lords as a proper
album?

the old tracks (ambient ones)
the new tracks (drill n bass ones)
the piano tracks

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2007-12-12 05:02 [#02153310]
Points: 50073 Status: Moderator

i don't have anything against it, infact i like it a lot and
it's the analord related record i play(ed) the most. but
still, all these tracks were previously released as 12's so
it's not quite the same as the 'normal' album..as the whole
series somehow make it little less interesting for some
reason..

i never heard that about drukqs before, it all sounds pretty
much a part of one thing to me and that's what really
matters..to put together a coherent album that makes
sense..or something..i'd just like a new aphex twin album as
i feel it will get me interested in electronica again :D

ive found myself melancholikly thinking about it,
a proper album, with a unique and cohesive sound...
thatd be great!

I have a theory that aphex twin isn't really richard d.
james at all. It's too early to tell. Is it on wikipedia?

Also, richard d. james isn't from Cornwall, but he/she is a
cameroonian aids orphan who plays drum sticks for laughs.
For the laughs of others, I mean. He's a really ugly little
tosser. The image of rubber johnny is based on the REAL
richard d. james, no I mean the tuss, no I mean the
cameroonian non-aphex non-twin. They keep him in the closet
with R. Kelly, for which video RDJ also produced the phat
beats to.
