yeah, forget the name of it - some swedish research - led to
the W.H.O. having an emergency meeting about it ..

dunno, i just feel this cold "scientific" approach misses
out a lot of contingencies of "the good
life"(dykaios)/lifestyle aspect .. i guess though its
encouraging that they are starting to look at
prevention, rather than purely cure.

i disagree with the catalyst notion .. based on this
image of some rock hard blueprint that underlies us ..
causally equivalent maybe?

You can get throat cancer, lung cancer, or any other form of
cancer even if you live like an olympic athelete (maybe not
the best example!), and have never smoked in your life. Its
a lottery... just because you smoke doesn't mean you are
guaranteed to die from cancer.

It does increase your chances, and people should be aware of
that, but I am more concerned with the way I live, than the
way I'm gonna die.

btw - I cain it to around the same level a jand... nice one
son... (p.s. I'm from B'tree)

yeah .. i'm a fan of the way you do things, more so
than just the things themselves ..

not that i've ever smoked 10 blunts a day, but methinks
thats a fair amount

I agree, most mental health problems are in degrees rather
than a simple, you have it or you don't.

clear lines.

also the whole thing of "you can't get addicted to cannabis"
is bullshit.

there is actually a 'therapy-group' in Amsterdam of people
trying to kick the habit. I read an article about it in a
reputable dutch magazine 2 years ago - it wasn't nice at
all..
