i read this blurb about the "wonderful" limp bizkit:
"While the band has yet to find a replacement for guitarist Wes Borland, who left the group in the fall of 2000 (see "Limp Bizkit And Wes Borland Part Ways"), several musicians have joined Limp Bizkit in the studio, the latest being Ministry's Al Jourgensen." (source)
oh al!!!!!!
i thought he was off the smack? why else would he be recording with fred durst? i can understand why rivers cuomo recorded with limp bizkit.. he obviously lost any artistic respectability (or talent?) many years ago. i can even understand why the neptunes would do 2 tracks for them. they'd produce a 90 year old man if he had their $200,000(?) per track fee. but al?! sheesh. page hamilton (ex-Helmet) is pretty surprising too. man... fuckin' workers for hire... where will it end.

yea, animositatisomina? they finished it like a half year ago or longer and it should finally come out sometime this year... still, what a way to promote it.
i wanna hear the remix of "break stuff" wes did that emulated squarepusher. and his own music that's supposed to be ambient.

i dont know much about limp bizkit actually, but i heard once some big dumb face stuff and it was cool, i kind of got interested enough to check wes out
i'll have to read (if i can find it haha) why wes left bizkit, i mean if it was just music disagreement or was there other shit
but im really glad that he's doing his own stuff anyway

Remember Al Jourgensen did that song for that movie A.I. and the video for that song was poo aswell.
So it looks like he's on the wrong drug it seems

Flea boy, I listened up to track 7 (10 tracks in all) - fucking awful imo, sorry but it was watered down piss weak rehases of N.W.O. I thought. There's one track which sounds like Joy Division jamming with the Rolling Stones ('the light pours out of me') which seems like their attempt at a 'single', needless to say I wasn't impressed. I'm not sure if it was the rip I got (it was 192k) but the production was so light and weak it was embaressing, some half decent riffs were the only good points I could take from it.
Don't let me put you off mind hahahah!

yea, "musically." exactly. limp bizkit are great musicians, minus fred (for sure) and dj lethal (arguably). my friend claims to have instrumental mp3's of some of their tracks, but i haven't heard them myself. i'd like to. i think they'd be great w/ a different singer. if they were to keep it "nu metal", i'd suggest lajon from sevendust (please no one say mike patton, as he has no interest in that type of music whatsoever.. and as for serj tankien, why remove him from SOAD? now that's an all-around great band.).
al jourgenson... i wish he had done more music w/ trent. he produced "get down make love" on the sin single and it's great. trent also sang on the unreleased version of "supernauts" by 1000 homo dj's. other than that.... nothing. i wonder if al appeared on the unreleased material recorded between pretty hate machine and broken...

Sounds as close to Ministry as you can get. I mean, they're plaguerising their back catalog, just not doing a very good job of it. Plus, the first song is the title track, and he sings "Animosityyyyyy" in it ;)
