Hi! Im new (and shy) so... *nods head* be kind. My name is Lindsey, and I am eighteen years old. You wouldnt believe the preparing I had to do in order to join this place--I was/am terrified (and possibly delusional). I guess I should tell you all what kinds of things I like, so here goes! Mmmm, I love making lists, dont you? Music: Tori Amos, NIN, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Bjork, Bauhaus, Gary Numan, Type O Negative, Radiohead, David Bowie, Soft Cell, Smashing Pumpkins, The Smiths, Fiona Apple, Marilyn Manson, Aphex Twin, Ani Difranco, Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Kraftwerk, The Beatles, John Lennon, Dead Can Dance, Cradle of Filth, Kittie, Sarah McLachlan. Movies: Edward Scissorhands, Amelie, Nightmare Before Christmas, Ed Wood, Requiem for a Dream, Boys Dont Cry, Citizen Kane, Clockwork Orange, Pi, American Beauty, Being John Malkovich. Other Random Things That I Like: cats (I have four of them), faeries, Salvador Dali, Van Gogh, Invader Zim, Spongebob, Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, Edgar Allen Poe, Sylvia Plath, Roman Dirge, Tim Burton, Neil Gaiman. I guess those last few could have gone in an "authors" list, but oh well. I like them! I do not, however, like making a fool of myself, and I fear I have done that already, so I shall leave and expect no replies. ^_^ All I know is, right now I am a "loser", I have a lovely Bjork avatar, and I am one of the last five registered. *giddy* Wow! you don't seem shy on the internet ;-) Well... for as far as one can judge after 10 posts... I think there was another member (jedi chris) who doesn't like any idm at all, also not aphex twin... so you're not alone. It seems surprising though to only like aphex twin... do you like all his stuff? Some of it (druqks, 2remixes by afx) sound alot like squarepusher to me... hard to tell them apart almost! But if you just like a couple of aphex-records, i can see how the other bands might not appeal to you. Richard sounds pretty unique. but you don't like seinfeld?!? :-p how is that possible? ;-) I find the concept of not-liking seinfeld almost impossible to grasp! lol, just kidding ofcourse. Everyone's different... for instance (takes a look at your list again) i don't like typ-o-negative at all, and i hate kittie. And still i feel sure no-one will give me a beating for it :-p It's a free world (for the most part anyway). |
