hmm... to expand on this topic a bit, (without spoiling it for people who haven't seen the movie), what were some reasons you disliked the ending?
for The Truman Show, it was a solid movie all the way through, but the ending is just too abrupt and leaves you wondering what happens between the main character and the love interest. it just sort of ends and that's it... like they couldn't think of a proper end to the film, so they just turned the cameras off or something

I don't agree.
ofcourse he'll get the girl. who wants to see that? do you want is spelled out? doesn't make for very interesting cinema, let alone that the story needs it.

always leave em wanting more - I'd rather a film end ambigious, looked what shite was tagged on the end of Castaway and A.I., fucking hollywood schmaltz
Donnie Darko's ending is crap.

I guess, but it just seemed stupid to go through all that effort just to have the movie end with two fat security guards say "what else is on?"
That's somewhat anti-climatic

The ending in "The Others" was to much like the ending of another movie that included ghosts and children.

Yow! A friend was telling me I'd never guess the end of "The Others". Well I did and laughed my ass off at the look on his face. The oddest thing is we saw that other ghosts and children movie together... you'd think he'd remember I'd seen it.

I thought Eyes Wide Shut was a masterpiece except for the ending which could have been a tad less abrupt. Okay, flawed masterpiece then.

Monty Python? That ending is classic! Personally I hated the ending to Fight Club... I know the movie might not have made sense without it, but there are just too many flaws in the movie once the ending is in place.

The Ninth Gate has the worst end. Its like they in the editing room was thinking "Okay, so its about 2hours long now. Lets end it". And put in that lame scene where he walks into the light.
Other that that the movie is fucking awsome.

Worst ending ever: "mission to mars" ...or was it "read planet"? I forget they were released at the same time and were about the same subject... Anyways, when the astronaughts enter the pyramid to find a friendly alien who tells them how the Eart was inhabitated... I literally stood up in the theatre an yelled as loud a i could: "WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!?".
