Autechre's best album

Taxi on 2001-12-26 15:16 [#00064156]

I can't decide upon a favorite, cause they are all absolute
class.

Chiastic slide has my favorite Æ track on it (tewe), EP7
has my second favorite (zeiss contarex), and Confield has my
third favorite (eidetic casein).

I like their really dark, lush textures, and I think those
trax are the best examples.

Gonzola from stockholm on 2001-12-26 23:49 [#00064211]

my fav track on ep7 is netlon sentinel. someone on this
board wrote that it sounds like 'the world is falling
apart'. that was like 2 years ago. i still remember it cos
it's a good description.
then someone else wrote that track 2 on chiastic slide
sounds like someone mashing potatoes with a fork...since
then i can't listen to that song without imagining those
potatoes, pretty frustrating actually...

I love track 2 from Chiastic Slide... it's a great song...

LeMoN: Yeah, mate I agree with you... I missed to mention
track#6, maybe the best song of the album and one of the
best songs who I never heard!!!
I passed all this x-mas to listen AMBER and I can confirm
who it's a wonderful album!

The songs who changed my life are: Track#1, 2, 3, 6, 13 !!!

Next album will be INCUNABULA...

AUTECHREEEEE!!!

p.s.: I can't compare ICBYD with AMBER, they're totally
differents... anyway in this moment I love 'Amber'.

I think autechre's best album is LP5. Arch Carrier, Under
BOAC, and Rae are all Brilliant songs in my
opinion.

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-12-27 15:28 [#00064370]

LP5 is still my favourite. But once again, it's hard to
compare the albums/ep's. Some tracks on Amber are better
than some tracks on LP5, some tracks on Garbage are better
than some on EP7 etc etc.... I rather look on the individual
tracks instead. It's easier to pick Ae/Gescom Top 20 tracks
instead of Top 3 Albums - IMO. :-)

Yesterday I bought 'INCUNABULA' and It's wondeful.
Now I can say... AUTECHRE rules!

Anyway my fav album is always 'AMBER'.

LP5 is tops for me at the moment, but sometimes I prefer
Confield. Depends on my mood I guess.

Least fav LP is Incunabula, though it's still good of
course.
