I want rock music

ok, ive been listening way too much electronica/idm music
lately and have an urge to listen to some rock tunes and a
little singing too. this is why i want some suggestions.

anything released in the last 5 years or so, i dont want old
rock suggestions, and nothing too underground either please.
some songs you like after only a few listens, catchy
tunes.

thanks :)

There's rock and there's ROCK! I tend to prefer rock myself,
so I'll recommend Gemma Hayes' 'Night On My Side' and The
White Stripes' 'White Blood Cells'.

Motorpsycho - Serpentine

Brilliant song, their best single in years :-) And very
catchy! If you don't like this one on first listen, you
probably never will.

i misread your post, i was searching for 'hardcore', a song
by the vines. no wonder i found nothing!

funny you mentionned the flaming lips, i knew nothing about
them and started listening to them this week. 'fight test'
is pretty good.
