over this last year I always thought that I prefered autechre to aphex...well, things must have changed in my brain cos I see it clear now... aphex is the first in my heart, I still think autechre are amazing and they come really close, but aphex is just too much

Haha, indeed. They're still ranked #1 on my list.
And actually, I've kind of drifted away from 7\fx recently. I've been appreciating µ-ziq's and Plaid's work much more. Especially Plaid's older work such as Trainer and Bytes from Black Dog Productions

for me, coil and einstürzende neubauten have finally beaten nine inch nails, who is getting into the depths of my top artists (even though i still love it)! autechre has never been in my top artists though... aphex may have, but probably not anymore, i guess he's 4th or something like that! who's 3rd? i don't know! which do i prefer between coil and EN? i think they should breed and have children! no, not really! now playing coopers world, hey, i almost forgot how good it was! i want to eat some fudge now!

i have inally realized that fsol are the most amazing artist ever. rdj and radiohead comes as a good nr 2. autechre does not even near the top 5. there'd be portishead and gong and whatnot to beat.

i still cant decided between Aphex Twin, Radiohead, Sigur ros or the smashing pumpkins. They always phase through as favourites according to my mood
nautilis and susumu yokota would come a second

neetta i think fsol is definitely underated, but it afx seems so much more personal, like you know who he is through is music. So even if his music started to suck and he went downhill like elvis there would always be a spot for him in the ranks

true. but in its anonymity fsol still manages to take me to such places no other band can. although i dlled some lfo and found that it was verrrrry good too, but i doubt it will ever match fsol.

RDJ will always surpass any artists in ways you couldn't possibly comprehend. That face in {equation} is just the beginning.

aphex twin and autechre both seem to be masters of their very different realms. they don't really fall on similar scales to me. i love them both, and maybe one more than the other while listening.
