STOP THE WAR!!!

OK, so a little bit of politics. . .

How stupid can one man be?

The NATO inspectors have found NO WMD (or NBC, as NATO point
out is the correct term).

Bush has troops in place, ready to attack (although he
won't, he'll just bomb Iraq back to the Dark Ages). The
date has been set!

Blair has his finger balanced above the button, ready to
push it the moment he gets that call from Bush. Obviously,
without Blair, Bush is going to look a bit silly when
Saddam, quite literally, blows up in his face.

And what are we doing eh? Absolutely nothing.

If this comes off right, we could be looking at WW3.

:(

bush is another word for cunt

i hate that we're so powerless, bush treats his soliders
like meat n statistics

i came from the states recently n i nocticed something, the
version of cnn over there is so completely different from
the version we get here, i'm not a fan of 24 hr news anyway
cuz it repeats itself, but it was so in it's own bubble, n
the language the presenters used was so overly emotive and
gung-ho.

i saw a recent documentry about why british troops were
being sent to iraq, the answer was v.interesting; they said
that a) they need to show that they were supporting the u.s.
so that the u.s. will treat them kindly in future b) the
americans do no need british troops, they can handle the
war by themselves, what they do need is statistics and
casualties so they theyre not the only ones who lose in the
war and therefore not the only one s who want to reap
revenge. like a very subtle human shield.

check out www.punkvoter.com, it's a site set up by the NoFx

olds in amerique using their votes, cuz only like 10% do,
worth checking out... at least for the incredibly funny
pictures of dubya.

first attack will be iraq
second attack will be north korea

we have to realize that the world is under
extreme tension.

Bush only have a view for getting petroleum in that area.
he cant see poor
people like woman,kids.
when it comes to the war, i think they
make the supreme sacrifice EVERY TIME!!

it was often said that the history was repeated.
i think so.. Bush will do same things such
as VIETNUM WAR. HE WILL BE A THIEF,ROBBER,CROOK..
AND MY COUNTRY IS BUSH's PET.

i really like our politics
they were acting like some kid that gets a chocolat, when we
were invited to join nato
and still, the guy that is pro nato won our presidental
elections a month ago
people here are just too stupid to realise that
but it still may happen that we wont join nato, because
we're having referendum about it shortly
now that would be a nice sight hehe, our politicians worked
pretty hard for getting accepted in nato and it may happen
that people will decide that we dont want to join :)
i would really love to see this happen
tho, we could be the next bush target because of it :)

my roomate is going "on call" if you will, his unit is/was
on the list of ones to ship out to Iraq should we start a
fight.

I'll go in a draft, so what. I think diplomacy can work,
but someone has to back up there words with something.

I think you should do what ever is in your heart, excuse me
for sounding overly sachrine. But I dont think you guys
would really have a fighting chance. Diplomacy can work. I
just dont agree with what my diplomat is going to do. Im
still debating over wether Id answer the call of the
military. Canada seems a nice alternative. btw. Eugene
University? What was wrong with Willamate?

We've been bombing Iraq every week since the Gulf War and
sanctions (war via economics) have killed 500,000. I think
we can say that war has been waged on Iraq for quite some
time.

But if you mean a full-on offensive, just wait until the end
of the month.

I urge all of you, get off your arses and DO SOMETHING about
this. Go to one of the protests, write to your
MP/Congressman/whatever, let them know that you are not
happy about what is going on.

If there's one thing that Blair/Bush want to do, its to stay
in power beyond the next election. If public support is
that against war, even they can't be so stupid as to ignore
the populace.

(but then again)

University of Oregon m8.

I believe we are the most politcally active school in the
country. First school/city to pass measures to try and get
our troops out of Vietnam, etc.

Before winter break, we had daily protests, speaches (which
I went to), teach-ins (went to these too) marches,
petitions, sit ins, la la la.

However, while I might not agree with the diplomatic actions
now that lead us towards war, the fuck heads you want to
protest everything only seem to care about this shit when a
full effort is on.

No one cares when about North Korea till they are going to
nuke us, that goes for hippies and yuppies alike.

---------------------------
"Bring on Iraq"

I want to start protesting protesting.

As always the route of all this anti war sentiment is just
cowardness. Saddam Hussein ain't gonna be able to do jack.
The states and Britain will squash that motherfucker like a
fly. You people seem to forget that that fuck is responsible
for killing his own people (genocide) and rigging elections
plus harbouring terrorism. You also don't seem to get that
he ain't gonna stop, NEVER. Geddit! People like Hussein and
Mugabe can't be reasoned with, can't be trusted. They're
dishonest people and they'll always be dishonest. The only
thing they understand is being taken out of government. We
owe it to the people's of these countries to restore some
sort of democracy.

Hitler was a totally different situation to Saddam. For a
start, there was an imminent threat of his invasion - and
remember, Germany is in Europe, not the Middle East.

The old 'appeasement doesn't work argument' that was used in
WW2 doesn't really apply here, as the USA have been
attacking Iraq both militarily and in the use of sanctions
for about 10 years.

Two totally different situations.

Mugabe as well as other African dictators have been killing
their own people for years.

(He's even disenfranchised thousands of white, ex-Pat
farmers.)

So do we hear Bush and Blair talking about getting the whole
world to gang up on Zimbabwee and say 'hey you're being bad,
stop it or we'll flatten your (already pretty desolate)
country'???

Naaah.

BTW Promo, all I'm asking for is that if people are against
the war, they should get up off their arses and make their
feelings known. Thats what democracy means. This war has
absolutely nothing to do with democracy, you only have to
look at the way that Blair has played this whole campaign to
see that.
