Oh my GOD... I got a cd burner for Christmas, and I've
always wanted to have Amber on cd... but have never seen it
in a store here, nor am I able to order it in for some
reason... no store here will order it... SO, I decided to
burn it, and my GOD, it is so good... I can't really
appreciate music when I listen to it on my computer... I
need to be mobile with my music, and this is the first time
I've ever had that with Amber... and goodness, this is
fantastic... my new favorite Autechre album!! :)

The first track of Garbage is boring???

i think you should really have another listen..you have to
be patient though.. it really starts kickin' after about 4
or 5 minutes --> i'd say give it another try

when i hear the song mentioned in a memory, i'll think of
that persons memory and stuff, it makes me warm :)

heh, when i was about 14/15 i started hanging out with all
these cool older techno guys. hanging out with older guys is
always a big thing for a young girl. it was hard for me to
understand all their music, but autechre and aphex twin were
the first i really liked

there was this cafe where we'd hang out always and knew the
staff so we could play our music there. i was always like,
'put autechre, put autechre'

of course back then i didn't know anything about this idm
thingy. then it was all raves etc.

Right on, princo. Don't forget Piezo! I feel like I'm always
going on about Piezo, but people don't listen.

LOOK! Piezo is the most beautiful track ever! It's so sad
towards the end.

i like "amber"<->"cinfield" comparison- these 2 albums sound
like an 2 totally different band productions. there are no
common points...

i agree with you here

sadly i must say i understand amber much more. this makes me
feel like a bad idm listener.

no- music perception is an extremely persoanl issue and if
you are more into early ae synth stuff its ok. i prefer
confield but it is not an every-day album- listening to it
is an mind-painful experience for me-its like fighting with
an asteroids field as one of polish critics s written about
it.

'foil' is the 1st ae I heard. it blew me away.

'glitch' must also be one of the best tracks ever.

i could make an album of polish critics fighting asteroids

yulquen has got to be one of their best 'chill-out'/ambient
tracks.

Amber is my favorite æ release.. by a longshot.

And btw I don't know what you are hearing that you think is
the first track, because the first track on Amber is
georgeousness and georgeosity made flesh. It's like a bird
of rarest spun heaven metal, or like silvery wine flowing in
a spaceship gravity all nonsense now.. as I slooshied I knew
such pretty pictures.

what can i say....amber is one of my favourite albums! I can
listen to it time and time again and it always does the same
for me if not more....:-)

there ain't a bad track on Amber... each one is fantastic...
I love this style of music, slowly moving and changing
melodies, with beats layered on top... and I think with
amber the drums sound a lot better then Incunabula... also,
the melodies sound less, ummm, poppy!... so Amber is their
best! WOOHOO!

i still need to get Amber, Tri Repetae, cichli suite, but i
prefer the textural complexety of their later works after
hearing Incunabula

incunabula is weaker than amber definitely (imo)
although "bike" thing is the shit of shits!
i love this track.

glitch and teartear (wow some early tempo experiments there
:P) are great tracks. glitch blends in nicely with the newer
tracks on the ae@coachella bootleg. amber- ah my first ae
love :)

cichlisuite is just average imo... it's not bad, but nothing
really stands out...
