How do you get your avatars to be the exact proportions?!

if yourr me, you have to paste them to "paint" crrop and cut
them, save that then cut arround that again.

i've been doing this, but do i count pixels or what? i
never had to get it exactly 60 by 80 in the past, it just
resized for me.

i have to cut pixels away, which just chops the sides of the
pic off rratherr than rre-sizing a larrgerr pic, if you know
what i mean...

coz if u just make it smallerr it looks all fuzzy.

I use Irfanview, which works perfectly for avatar
making. I gotta make another one soon, matter o fact.

Most folks don't use Linux so they don't know that Gimp is
absolutely RIPPLING with banf.

Your new avatar is fabulous, dahling. It's like someone's
blurred childhood memory of a sexy nerdy hellmaiden.

resizing is shitty,
using photoshop here too,
but it was a nerve-striking work to cut away until it
fitted, sometimes,
but now i know how to manage.

one of the problems is that the cut-off selection is
automatically going to the edges, but it helps if you move
the cut-off s. and snap it then...

ill give irfanview a try , heard about it and forgot...

this ratio (3:4) is also the same one used in the kurt
cobain journals book...

just thought that was interesting. i resized it and it's
exactly 60x80.

well if you use photoshop it's ez, just select pixel in the
resize menu and type 60 for width and 80 for height, there
ya go

I have a new appreciation for Sido and Raimons. I tried
making a big animated .GIF, but I could only make it fir
into TWO FRAMES! This is tough.

And two hideously UGLY frames at that! :-) Enjoy!

for animated gifs i use adobe stuff too... imageready... but
now you've got to use quality loss to get more than 4
frames! ' _ '

i've got some avatars i'll never be able to use here
again...
