Why males bear pain better

This is bullshit, the biggest pain known to mankind is the
pain of giving birth: exclusive to women, yet they do it of
their own free will.

Well, the previous researches had a scale from 0 to 10 and
the 10 points was reserved for pain of birth. It's all there
in the books, lads, check fo yourselves.

me too anus..
and i suspect that's what women do also..

and we men are silly enough to believe it all..

hihi, let's hope no woman reads this..

thats rright coz its a perrfect chance forr a woman to go
OTT and have us rrunning arround, it's not like we can
prrove that it doesn't hurt rreally can we.

not that it won't hurrt, coz i know it will, just not as bad
as they have us believe.

OK, I see your points. I am citing a research just as
junktion was citing another research. Fair enough, it's all
in the domain of belief now.

Women don't take the pain better than men so much as they
withstand it because they are socially and biologically
driven to procreate.

If the desire to have babies did not outweigh the pain we
wouldn't be here, would we? Certainly, no woman would ever
allow herself to become pregnant a second time.

In any case, is true, scientist say so. They weigh him and
everything.

Yeah, but the point is that men feel the pain less. That
women, who feel pain more intensely, are cursed with periods
and childbirth is a deliciously wicked irony.

You know, life is a pretty sweet fruit...

here.

physical pain is one thing.
handling emotions is another

ive been having this discussion with some geezers

some reckon that us guys have more trouble dealing with
emotions that girls

i dont think thats true either. it sort of fits with the
stereotype of beefed up dudes going apeshit, but
realistically...

just because i get extremely emotional its important to be
reminded that im not alone or special in that respect.

tis malarky!

women can bear more pain, this added feature adds to the
longer life span of women.

now.......are women bigger babies or men.......*thinks*
depends.......MEN when sick can be a pain in the arse! IMO

=0)

Correlative evidence from experiments in mice is certainly
not scientific proof of any human condition. Its suggestive
at best. "Proof" should be an extremely rare word in
science.

Don't be absurd. Scientists are like automobile assembly
line mechanics, except they're manufacturing truth. And
like cars, every year the product gets better and better.

You are obviously trying to destroy the institution of
science from the inside. Are you a communist? Have you no
decency?

Read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and re-think your position.

Over-interpretation of scientific findings is something that
contributes heavily to "the detruction of the institution of
science". It seems to make for 'good press' however.

Look, do you want to manufacture all that perfectly usable
truth and just warehouse it in your ivory tower, or do you
want to market it and make an honest buck?

offline Omneignotumus on 2002-12-17 20:01 [#00484185]
Points: 506 Status: Lurker

The 'buck' would be honest only if the word 'truth' was used
appropriately. There is a world of difference between
evidence that supports a hypothesis and evidence which
proves a conclusion. The former is often confused for, or
passed off as, the later. I don't wish to 'warehouse'
information...I wish for it to be delivered and received
appropriately.
