Colleges and universities are becoming increasingly
corporatized. Colleges are becoming factories run by
corporate directors and executives. Students are the
product; corporations the client. Increasingly, at many
schools, students help pay for the corporate/military
research going on at their campuses while becoming good
workers who learn not to question their masters.

+while becoming good
workers who learn not to question their masters.

My wife relates 100% she just finished an IT course where
she had to constantly enage in a battle of wits with her
tutors trying to subliminate and subjugate her opinions on
workers rights including discrimination based on ethnicity

When I envision all of souvenirs of my young life I think of
future generations (from my offspring) who I’ll never meet
cashing them in for profit. I watch Antiques Roadshow; I
know what goes on. You’re famous, you keep letters
you’ve written or received, you die, and then
grandchildren get it appraised and auction it off. Why
should I hand fractions of my life away to people who’ll I
never meet, and probably wouldn’t like anyway? So it has
to go. All of it. Torched, burned, and scattered into the
wind. Besides, I like fire. There won’t be anything more
gratifying than dropping a match to seasoned paper and
watching it disappear, except for sitting and getting the
scent of smoke caught in my hair and clothes. I love smoke
more than I love fire, but without the later you can’t
have the first.

What is Pure evil? Although evil is a human perception, and
thus, a man-created illusion, it has relevance nevertheless.
We can try to ignore it, but one cannot ignore what doesn't
have some degree of reality.

There's a general perception of what evil is. It's a matter
of culture. Individually, most people share the general
perception, with few differences.

Our thoughts and beliefs, no matter how fantastic, are part
of reality...our own, at least. They're so real, we can only
function and create based upon our thoughts and beliefs. We
borrow from the abstract, to produce a concrete, material
reality.

What is pure evil? whatever you think it is.

Yep. X-ray technician. It's the ultimate job, really. I'd
get to work in a hospital and wear those cool rubber gloves
all day and no one would think I was crazy. But instead of
one of those clunky X-ray machines, I think I'd rather use a
normal camera. More discrete, you know? And instead of
taking pictures of dislocated kneecaps and broken tibias, I
think I would just take full body pictures. I wouldn't like
to focus on what's wrong with a person, that'd make me feel
bad all the time and I'd start hospital fires. And instead
of injured people, I think I'd be better off taking pictures
of naked women. Yep. X-ray technician is the job for me.

The only thing missing is a smoking gun that shows the US
intelligence agencies were complicit in the 9/11
hijackings.

As for Saddam, he's been such a good puppet that after any
"war" on "Iraq" he'll be retired to the same resort island
where bin Laden lives, bodysurfing and drinking coconut rum
drinks.

flea,

Why do u have to feel like the victim? I think your mistaken
you ought to feel very lucky your in a country where you can
push yourself forward. You ought to brush those chips off
your shoulders. More than anything else people will respect
you if you want to better yourself. Anyway it could be a
million times worse, you could live in a country where
basically you have no freedom of speech, your forced to
pray, you have rife disease, poverty, civil war and leaders
who have no regard for human life. Complaining about a few
corporations is just silly, you seem to think that they
should be charities, thats not the way capitalism works.
Besides its all good it all feeds back into American and
European purses and helps us move forward. The fact is no
one is forcing you to work for a big corporation and be 'a
corporate slave', believe it or not you do have choice in
life. I mean what do you expect to do? The state is pretty
supportive in its own right already. People have got to have
motivation, come on be fair. I get so angry when people
start on this tack like they've got no choice I find it
tremendously weak - no offence but life is for the taking,
that should be obvious.

Why is FLEA "lucky" because he is brown does he have less
rights than you huh? In actual fact FLEA was attacked in my
country with a racist with an dirty great iron bar and
beaten 16 times over the head. SO WHAT DO YOU THINK HUH?

What makes you think people are forced to practice their
religion or traditions of choice or be forced to live in
poverty by Western governments who are promoting their
misery. Keep your head stuck in the sand.

What I meant was that he was attacked by a racist not with a
racist years before even 9-11 happened.

>Life is for the taking
As if that matters. All 9-11 has ever done is to bring the
racists out of the closet and have them justify their
pathetic existence.

In NZ the Race Relations ran a campaign a few years
depicting on a poster graphics of 4 brains amazingly enough
the racist brain was the smallest.

I really have no idea what the hell you're talking about.
Sounds like a load of extremely neurotic ranting and mumbo
jumbo to me.

I certainly don't implore racists if thats what your
suggesting, they're loathsome characters. Besides I think
your the racist, you sound pretty extreme to me. I think
you'll find that if you do your research plenty of coloured
people etc are pretty racist to, if not worse. And the
difference is nobody questions it. So I think you're living
in a fantasy world chum. The reality is I treat everybody
equally have always done.

Personally I don't give a crap if you want to go and live in
some other third world socialist or facist jacked up
country, which you feel to be a better alternative to where
you currently live. Be my guest see how much you enjoy it.
However don't come back to me complaining.

Let me get this straight you are talking reverse racism
here... this is a tactic commonly used by racists. And by
someone who watches CNN constantly and requotes rhetoric.
Once again this FLEA's wife RED not himself and I dont get
why you cant understand something as simple as human rights
violations by Western countries...

flea,

Gimme a break. Human rights violations please, you need to
get off your high horse. What the hell are you on about?
Granted I mean no society is perfect, we don't live in a
perfect world but I think we can agree that the Western
world is a far more appetising place to live than anywhere
else.

Anyway what human rights violations are u talking about?
What some corporations or something pay low wages, well
those countries have bad currencies and its a competitive
world so sure they exploit it, so what? They're not killing
these people, they're giving them work. I mean crikey they
don't owe them a living. I mean these people don't have to
work for them they still have a choice. The fact is that
we're (Western society) not perfect and so because not
everything we've done has been absolutely glistening and
sparkling without fault, that makes the Western world bad,
your taking things to the nth degree. Come on for the amount
of supposed 'violations' you claim we may or may have not
done, they don't rank half way as bad as many many other
countries (like China, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria etc etc) you
are getting things completely out of wack. You ought to be
supporting the Western world instead of rallying against it,
its about the best option you've got.

And for your information the press certainly here in the UK,
I don't know about the states, are extremely liberal (lefty
that is) so you tell me how I've been supposedly
brainwashed.

However flea I do agree with you that the Western world
(certainly the UK) could be and should be doing more to help
a lot countries with economic development etc and I believe
there are plenty of excellent initiatives that could be
implemented. The next century could be a very positive one
if handled correctly.

okay this is a reply to your first reply...

basically your view of any country which isnot US/UK seems
to emenate right out of the media propagand blasts coupled
with Hollywoodism...time to get a reality check..most of the
third world countires arenot thecesspits they are constantly
portrayed as in the forementioned brainwashing media
feeds..okay...infact most of the most beautiful, serene and
Majestic landscapes exist in third world/muslim
countries...free of the hopping leper beggers and camel
riding terorists that you keep envisioning......

Okay now that we opened a window and let some fresh air into
your convuluted world view..now the problems...

1. Every Dictator and "leaders with no regards for human
life"..that you speak of..has been either directly or
indirectly placed by a western power..because..these same
western powers..(you being fron THE UNITED KINGDOM..need not
be forced through a lecture on Empire building and
Colonialism) used to control these countries with pomp and
badge...but since the fall of the colonies...it was deemed
by the Western Colonial powers that democracy bestowed upon
thes "SAVAGES"would be a dangerous prospect for the
continual leeching of wealth and resources that they
intended to continue unpinged...hence a whole network and
chronolgy of puppet democracies alternated with Military
Dictators were devised and planned and planted...each of
these govts/dictators heavily sponsored funded and sponsored
by western powers (the Shah of Iran,Shah of Afghanistan and
Saddam Hussain..comes to mind)..and not just a blind eye but
whole hearted encouragement of merciless crushing of anycall
for true independence..proceeded..Human Rights have been a
dirty word in the Imperialist lingo..I suggest you do some
research into the Machination of your govt through out the
history before launching into these debates...

UK itself is not the haven you seem to insistant on deluding
yourself that you are living in...
Thatcher wasnt that long ago was it?..And even in this
boom...There's still huge unemployment, housing and health
issues..that are constantly swept under the rug..that these
problems are seemingly rife only in thetheethnic coloured
slums where the people are too lazy and unmotivated to
better themselves and come to grips with the blessings of
corporate cultures is yet another myth perpetuated by your
media..

flea,

This is the usual loony left liberal hashed up
interpretation of history.... Empire established rule of
law, administration, government, railways and the beginning
of technology. If the peoples of these territories revert
back to tribal rivalry, ignorance, Muslim theocracy or
whatever, then its clear that we can't go back in every five
minutes to clear up the mess they make on their own account.

What makes you think there wasnt law, administration,
government,the beginning
of technology in the former colonies?..

Let's just take two examples..China and Middle East, and
India at the inception of colonialism...they were originally
empires themselves, very advanced in matters of law
administration and government..the tribal rivarlry and
factionalism was harnessed and cultivated by the
foreign"traders"..British East India Company for example..to
breakdown the order and the heirarchies incharge..it was a
slow systematic process..of briberies and promises of power
for the tribes(they were actually states with nobilities
unlike the tribes you keep mentioning) to divide sub divide
and then conquer neighbouring states thus spreading chaos
and uncertainity in the central seats of power...

sorry that last post displayed too much ignorance of history
for me to want to continue this..you either dont know
history of your colonies or dont want to believe it and are
happy with your roaring yarns of boyhood fantasies of noble
Englishmen bringinglight to flaming savages.....
either way this is increasingly an exercise in futility

Flea,

The empire wasn't in China (apart from Hong Kong which was
just some swamp land when the British got it - look at it
now). China still does not have the concept of rule of law.
India was not united but was united by the British raj. Law
and the courts established by the British were secular and
incorrupt and even today eminent Indian jurists speak in
praise of that particular heritage from the British. And
India today is permeated with corruption as the norm –
that’s purely Indian. So it is you who doesn't know your
history. And one more thing the legacy of democracy handed
to India by Britain is maintained to this day to the great
credit of India. You are right to retire from this debate
because you want to twist history to your own distorted
mirror..... You need to seriously grow up and understand the
world and geopolitics of it in which you and I both live.

the British Infiltrated far deeper than Honk Kong..they had
designs on Shanghai..and the rest..their destabalizing
processes were instrumental in the control shifting to the
current hierarchy of apseudo marxist state that you are now
so fond of complaining about..

You are ignorant of the history of India..the British
werethere long before there was a British Raj...first the
tradersstarting in 1600....set in machination the
destabalizing processes...then a more formalised British
East India Company to defend the traders..was ruling the
country..until the rebellions in 1857 when the Queen
officially declared India a colony...

so in effect it was actually a corporation running the
entire sub continent on the British Empire's behalf....is
this sounding familiar???

Ofcoarse in comparison to the constant chaos and muckracking
and instability caused by British East India Company
the British Raj was acceptable...justas TALIBAN was
acceptable to the poor hapless Afghans afters years and
years of Civil War...

It's you mate that needs to uncork your head out of
Monarchist Archivists butt..and learn about the history as
it happened..not as the conquerors wrote!!
