Hmm. Do you have the version that NIN did with David Bowie?
I love that one.

Link to the song

Grab it fast, I don't know how long that link will be good
for. I think it's pretty good. Of course he alters the
crown of shit line, so he loses coolness points
there.

hehehe......my BF sent me both the 'hurt' cover and
'personal jesus' i was impressed that he even attempted
covering those songs. i thought the guitar work on personal
jesus was quite interesting. when i first heard it, i
thought it was a joke, but apparently it was a serious
project!

hats off to the man in black!!

I think he does a very good job.

sounds like a good cd overall, but then again, I do have a
soft spot for the man in black.

loved his track on zooropa too, the wanderer it was called.
one of the best songs on that album if you ask me. noone
seemed to like it back then, though

*listens*

WTF °_°

*stops playing*

i like the devo cover of head like a hole very much, but
this... no, seriously, i can't.

for me 'hurt', is such a personal song (for trent that is),
i couldn't see it associated with any other person than
him...

maybe i would give this another chance, but i don't know.
it surprised me a lot, even if i was waiting for another
voice... i can say it shocked me too.

(sorry, i'm over-reacting ' _ -)

uzim........it was hard at first, but it's really not bad.

just think trent had to give permission for him to use it,
so he musta been curious to hear it himself.

and johnny did this in a serious way, something about that
song musta struck him as well!

give it another try

i like it! his shaky voice seems perfect for this track. the
dark piano is niice.

and most importantly: it lacks the annoying loud ending.
always hated that part

Cash has recorded a lot of great cover songs over the years.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one enjoying his music on
this mb. :D

second listen, i like it more now; it is good (even
if i don't like country... just a problem of open-minding
and me fixating too much on NIN to appreciate the cover on
first listen i think)

besides i've heard the man really could be at the end of his
life, so that's really emotional i guess... ' _ '
