i can think of merzbow and 'noise' in general, which is
really unlike anything else, but there must be some other
kinds of music that feels as different, no?

do you know any?

There's some Dat Politics at epitonic.com

It's happy jolly children's music played by Soviet robots at
gunpoint is the best I can describe it. It's fucking weird.

Whitehouse is bloody bizarre disturbing stuff. I downloaded
a few tracks off mp3.com. Peter Sotos works with them, which
is all you need to know if you know Peter Sotos.

'baby' by whitehouse is disturbing... i was waiting
for something frightening to happen during the whole
track...

couldn't get anything by dat politics nor parmegianni
though.

You were waiting for something frightening to happen? They
were giving an evil mutant vampire baby a bath and
play-drowning it! It was the mutant baby from "It's Alive"!

I've never heard anything quite like Coil before... so much
weird gothic imagery but I NEVER feel as if they're cheesy
or over the top, I just accept it as part of the whole
package... or something.

Hella is not that weird and it definately did not do what
the sticker on the cd said "this will change the way you
music forever" or whatever, that was pretty stupid. its
just decent, I thought it would be great but no. anyways
good stuff:

-Coil(agree with you there ophecks)
-Nurse With Wound
-Current 93
-Einsturzende Neubauten
-The Swans
-Faust

i love coil (some of their dark pieces i did found cheesy
but i love them still! :)) and einstürzende neubauten!!
and i love what i've heard from nurse with wound so far.

maybe i will get either man with the woman face or dharma on
december 20th (because it's the first day of holidays for me
and these can be delivered in 24 hours... if no one gets
them until then of course :))

i don't know of this sticker that you speak of... what album
is it off of?

i am just liking it because it's a raw band... two people,
guitar and drums with the most weirdest rhythms & stuff... i
love em, coz i opened for them in Omaha when they were on
their tour... really nice guys :)
