is AFX your fav?

im just wondering if out of all the idm artists you listen
to, is Aphex Twin your favorite? For me its probably a tie
between Aphex and BOC although im still fairly new to this
kinda music, and im starting to get into some square pusher
as well.. well whose your favorite?

Aphex is my fave, he just does it all. Jack of all trades...
I listen to Autechre when I'm feeling emotionally detached,
BOC when I'm depressed or melancholy, Squarepusher when I'm
pissed off and aggresive... but Aphex has something for
everyone of my moods.

how did you find an answer if the question wasn't specific
enough for you?

aphex is one of my favorites. very weird and oddly humorous.

I like aphex, but until a certain level. Cant quite explain.
I see his music more art rather than as music.
cant explain, cant explain...

Like AE too.
I'm more into darker shades of ambient. The slower and
darker, the better

this one is though. aphex has so much good and different
stuff so i'd have to pick him as my fav

bjork comes to the same line

I don't like that Aphex is just sitting on tons of quality
songs and has no plans for realeasing them.. so for that
reason I'd pick Autechre as my fav.... they have so many
awsome songs under thier belt, without the "i don't care"
attitude of AFX.

offline spoonz from Edmonton, AB (Canada) on 2002-11-25 16:23 [#00455798]

i don't know if aphex is consistent favourite. his music is
a lot more varied than BoC or []<'s is, so i can always go
back to richard's stuff when i'm in the mood. lately tho,
i've been going back and forth from global goon to
squarepusher to boards of canada and back again. but aphex
is so timeless it'll stick with me i think

I like BoC and AE better...

Aphex comes kinda in the bottom since i prefer both
Squarepusher and plaid to him....

Anyway recentely I've been revaluating his work, especial
SAW 85-92 so he may go up a few positions....

finnish psytrance is quite good. it does not sound like
psytrance at all.

if u wanna link to dl some of that just say to me
