well, music can communicate.

thing is, you have little to no control what it
communicates, so in the strictest sense, that way it doesn't
communicate.

"Having 13 trumpets each choose a different note somewhat
related to eachother and have them all play that for 8
minutes and then switch to another note for 3 would be more
experimental than even Radiohead going to electronics with
Amnesiac."

why is that experimental?

just because you think it sounds strange?

yes. and because you're doing something new with something.
if a band just changes a guitar pedal whoop de doo...that
band still sings the same thing.

you gotta try new things whether they're considered strange
or not. thats what experimenting is all about.

here some elements of hip-hop that are original(ithink)
scratching as a new instrument with it's own style of unique
style of play
deep bass
using samples as a main ingredient or solely as the means of
production

mm.. that sounds about right.. don't think I would agree on
the "deep bass"-thing.. that already was there in disco..

how did they do deep bass in disco? was it as deep as Dj
majic Mike etc.?

quote:
"Some may know DJ Magic Mike (aka Mike Hampton) as the
father of bass. Then again, they might also recognize his
work as a performer, composer, producer, MC, and
international DJ with club residences in three U.S. cities.
Regardless of how you care to categorize him, the
Orlando-based artist spins and scratches with a flair for
shattering boundaries and blazing new territory."

are you sure u know what ur talkin bout?

i don't think experimental is changing the whole sound, but
more changing the whole way the sound is created, wich
usually leads to changing the sound in itself

yeah zeus i like to dream about killing gods in my sleep, it
makes me powerful =)
