obviously once everything else is set and ready to go (all the more important things) I think it'd be cool that if we're gonna be forced to use 12kb avatars, maybe have a large set of premade avatars we can all choose from (if you can't and/or don't wanna upload one yourself)

i don't know if it would be a good idea... many people having the same avatar... could be confusing

it works just fine over at www.zug.com/gab
i think if we had enough to choose from, plus people using their own uploaded avatar, it could be pretty cool

all the stored avatars that wouldnt get used would be a waste of server space too, wouldnt they?

they'd only be 12kb or smaller obviously, so i doubt it'd be any more of a waste than what it is right now

it would be good for those who don't have the software or ability to make their own, but I think peoples personalities can be seen in their changing selection of home grown avatars

that's what i mean. it could at least be an option to someone who doesn't have the ability to resize/compress and/or even find an image to use

No two avatars should ever be exactly alike. It's just a rule of thumb.

hmm... alright, maybe some kind of java/flash thing on the site that someone can use to manually create a 12kb 60x80 avatar for them? that'd make them all original, and still give the option to a user who can't resize or compress files, doesn't have the software, or whatever
