"tweez" is much harder than "spiderland", like the
treble is up to 10..

its very good though.

just wondered cos it says on the back of my (CD) copy "must
be listened to on vinyl" - wondered whether it made any
difference. like MBV's "loveless" - i think it sounds so
much better on vinyl. Does anyone know if it's true that
slint were booked into a pschiatric hospital after making
spiderland?

independent bands hardly get recognized, thats why there
independent in the first place. gybe is the opposite of
famous and they have no intentions of being famous. the way
they act and record music will not let them be famous in the
future.

"never herd of them or any of their music... doubt its all
that good" another CLASSIC quote from SwitchFrontside. what
an intelligent and open minded person. after all, the best
music in the world is popular with everyone, and any music
that isn't familiar already is bad.

str_ph: i've seen them live. best concert of my life so far.
as for their song structures, what do you expect when every
composition is between 10-30 minutes long? of course they're
going to be in epic form. that's the only way to keep them
interesting. they're more akin to classical composers than
rock bands in that sense.

I never heard that rumour about Slint..

I did read an interview with David Pajo (now Papa M) who
said, the singer was screaming so intensly on "goodmorning
captain" he vomited after finishing..

spiderland is great. i like breadcrumb trail the best tho
good morning captain is great. i think id like to get tweez
sometime.

i saw godspeed ealier this year in bradford. that was a
really great gig. they played 'gathering storm' first which
was immense.

and another thing.
iv got the vinyl version of f#a#oo..is it worth getting the
cd version as well. cos theres extra tracks on i think.

I guess "nosferatu man" (love that rhythm) is my favourite,
although "goodmorning captain" is 8 minutes of bliss..
