I'd walk tound all day with my cock hanging outside of the cloak. I'd love to see peoples faces as this cock just floats past them. They'd be too shocked to do anything. I'd also try and find a girl who was willing to let me wear the claok while having sex in front of a mirror. Be weird for both of us. Am I disturbed? I hope not. Someone agree with me that it'd be a good idea. Please?

I'll let you do that instead. I'll think of something else. Because I am not sure this is a fact. What is the definition of a criminal? Is that a state of mind or a social category etc.

Yes, yes, all this is well and good, but those are after-the fact definitions, what I am saying does your mentallity make you a criminal or is it the social context or something else...

Ooooh tricky. Well I think everyone has a criminal part to them. With most it's just a thinking process but then there's the few who act on their thoughts. So in essence everyone is a criminal but only a minority are physically criminal.

Still: you haven't exactly pinpointed (i probably misused that word, but what the hell) what a criminal is. Is being violent equal to being a criminal? Yes if you beat people in the street, no if you box in the ring. In this cas, it takes social context. We are criminal only in relation to legislation methinks, not having it be part of our, er, personality.

So what your saying is although two acts can be the same it's the circumstances under which they're committed that define it's place as a criminal act. Your boxing one is a good example. Someone punching someone in a street fight and breaking their nose would be classed a criminal but in a boxing ring it would be deemed "acceptable" behaviour. So being a criminal is performing an act in unacceptable circumstances. Going into a house and taking things that aren't yours is wrong but if your a bailff then it's OK. I hope that makes sense.

Have a nice lunch. The point I'm trying to make here is that saying "There's a criminal lurking in each one of us etc." actually means nothing as it is not an internal quality, but wholly external, depending on the circumstances.
Sure, people are most of the time aware of their activities being legal or not and intentionally performing illegal activities might be defined as "true" criminal behaviour, but it's not part of yours or mine nature, it's still part of the society and it's EVER CHANGING regulations, laws and legislation.

My concept of a "criminal" only overlaps that of the law in some areas. I think there are somethings that would be "Criminal" even if legalised. Perhaps there should be some other term for an ammoral person as opposed to someone who doesn't abide by the law?

I hear you. But that's what I'm saying, we can all have our own definitions, but the only universal definition ("the person who breaks the law") does not allow for the "criminal mind" or mentallity to exist. Thus saying "there's a criminal lurking in all of us" has as much sense as saying "we all die once". It's too broad, it means nothing.

Did you know that simply by using the internet (any site) you are breaking copyright, in legal terms at least? I wouldn't say this makes you a "criminal" in my sense of the word.
However, you certainly get some people who are more inclined towards anti-social acts such as violence, vandalism etc.

Didn't know that fact, care to explain?
And, as I said before, people more inclined to anti-social behaviour are in one instance criminals: if they actually go out and break the law, in other they might be policemen or soldiers. Bill Gates breaks laws, George Bush breaks international laws, yet they are not labelled criminals (well, except by liberals, but not by their own societies).

Common sense would dictate that if someone puts it on the web they accept it being viewed by people. This is what common sense dictates.
However, due to the nature of computers, looking at a website makes a "copy" of the website to memory (legally this counts as a copy). Unless a website specifically says you may make copies of it you are technically breaking copyright law.
We did a module in uni about this and in most cases the judge would throw it out, however, if you follow the letter of the law you are breaking copyright merely by using the net (although not teletext amusingly as that is continually
broadcast and no copy is stored).
As I've said before, doing this,
"Although having said that Meho, maybe the two of us are
infringing Phob's copyright by being here.....yikes!!
*phones for a good lawyer!*
;) " Is breaking Chris' copyright as whilst he accepted posting it, he didn't sign a disclaimer saying the copyright on posts was forfited.

It was really funny when our lecturer told us about it, everyone was shouting how stupid it was.
It's like scratching a record in a track, technically you should pay a small amount of royalties as you are using their original in a "derivative work". Bloody stupid...
